Energon Megatron Questions

Disclaimer:
I searched this forum up to several pages to make sure my question hasn't been asked lately. I tried to use the search function, but nothing would come up. Not even the search word 'Starscream'.

Note:
This post talks about unboxing an Energon Megatron. If that makes you cry, it might be best to stop reading now.

I bought a boxed Energon Megatron off of e-Bay a few weeks ago and finally got him in to battle my husband's Unicron. While I was carefully taking him out so I wouldn't lose any accessories, I noted that there were two sets of four flat rectangular pieces of clear plastic taped to the bottom of the box. I looked at all the instructions and all of the pictures on the box. There isn't an explanation as to what to do with them anywhere.

At first my husband and I thought that maybe they were Make-It-Yourself Energon Cubes. Using a some tape and a lot of effort, I managed to get four of the pieces together. They are NOT Make-It-Yourself Energon Cubes as they don't have any side squares that would fit. That and they look wobbly and rather drunk.

Next, I went to the Energon Megatron toy gallery here on Seibertron to see if they were pictured as part of the picture gallery. While flipping through the pictures, I noticed that they not only show that Sword-that-is-also-a-tank sword that Megatron comes with but also an Energon Axe/Sword!

I KNOW my Megatron didn't come with any really cool Energon Axe/Sword that he can hold in his hand! So I race back to my flat rectangular pieces of green plastic to see if THEY turn into a cool Energon Axe/Sword. They do not.

So here is the point of my long and rambling post. Does anyone know what those flat rectangular clear green pieces of plastic are? And where in the world do I get my Megatron a really cool Energon Axe/Sword? Thank you for any help!

I don't have Energon Megs but I do have Galvy (same mold). I have no idea what the four pieces of plastic are for.

As for the sword, transform Megs into bot mode and then take a close look inside the "nose" of the alt mode (which should now be flipped down behind Megs. You'll find the sword is inside, and it's a real trick to get out. Good luck!

Aren't those plastic tabs the ones that hold the secure plastic backing to the cardboard base?

I only have the 3/4 size Megatron, so it came in completely different packaging, so sorry I cannot be more help.

if you are talking about the small green perfect squares at the bottom of the box, I belive they were there only to keep the pointed parts of meg's engines from poking thru the box.

As I remember it, those four plastic pieces are just in the box to protect parts of the toy where it touches the box. I remember seeing them and thinking they might be something, but I believe they all line up with parts of the jet to protect it, since otherwise they would directly touch the box.

For the sword, in robot mode, if you stick the tank on top (behind his head; on top of the base of the jet's nose), and press the button on the nose of the jet as you pull the tank off, his sword will come up with the end of the tank.

yes the plastic parts are for the protection of the box. It the pointy bits must've always broken through the box before they started shipping and added those.
