Weapon: Atom-Smasher Cannon
Cool video but I get turned off when I see that the robots can scan any vehicle they want and then transform into it. It really hurts the mythos. :?

All of these clips are f***ing amazing!!! The Bonecrusher/Prime fight really kicks ass!!! But even with all of this, i still have to say, I still don't like the mouth on Prime. It looks creepy, it's like looking at the sun, i want to look at it, but i can't. But, all in all, it all looks pretty freakin awesome.

These clips are all blowing my mind. Love how prime talks, love the freeway fight, love it all! This movie just keeps getting better and better in a summer where most of the others have been a bit drab.

:???: Haven't all the TFs been able to do that? At least that's what I thought, they had no limitations.

As far as the clips, OMFG! Simply amazing. Anyone else catch Bonecrusher saying "Comin' Through" before he ripped into the bus? His voice sounds great, wonder who's the VA.

You know what? Good/bad designs...mouth/no mouth...VW Bug/Camaro...whatever.I'll take giants robots fighting on city streets all day long. Two hours, no one has to speak, there doesn't even have to be a plot!

What still bugs me after seeing this footage is how the Transformers keep getting adressed as "robots". Anonymous alien robots that happen to have a line of speech at some point. The old transformers used to draw me in because they all had a personality and the focus was mostly on the Transformers themselves. Every single clip i've seen so far didn't once say to me "This feels like the good old transformers." but instead it's "Action movie with ugly designed morphing robots!"

To say Optimus Prime has no personality.....my god what madness. So who is that big, red and blue robot we've been seeing in those trailers? Who's that guy Empire interviewed 'couple months back? Who's the guy peering down at Sam? Who is that Super Advanced Robot that's probably Japanese? WHO THE FICK WAS THAT TALKING TO SARAH SILVERMAN AT THAT MTV AWARD SHOW?

MY. GOD.

Will someone post the whole spoof? Us uin the UK cant view the vid because MTV sucks and they have this bullshit "because of cpoyright law we cannot show this outside the uk" excuse up whenever i try to watch the video.

I saw the clip of Prime speaking to that chick, and the clip of prime vs bonecrusher, i got goosebumps and did a Homer Simpson style drolling sound when i saw those. But i wanna see the whole MTV spoof too!

Cullen sounds awesome!

And the lips, the facial expressions, everything is just perfect! Anyone who ever doubted this movie and the way they look is really eating their words now!

Oh and BBee giving the thumbs up to Shia and then Shia shooshing him away was fantastic!

I remember when the MTV Movie Awards were one loooooong suckfest. This skit was actually funny. Mostly because of Silverman. The clip was nice and all, but robots "blinking"? For what purpose? I think that is just lame. At least the mouth itself does not look that bad anymore now that they have revised it, it looks less organic. But adding organic attributes to an alien robot race, such as lips and eyebrows that move...just makes no sense to me.

I always though moving lips on a robot made no sense. I mean, what kind of freaking metal would be liquid enough to move, while at the same time not falling off of the robot's face?

Okay, I sm overthinking it.

But I thought the same thing when I was little.

Oh yeah, and I love Sarah Silverman's...erm, "tail".

She is one fine woman...with a sense of humor!

This movie will OWN the summer!!!

I'm thrilled. The awards spoof was way, way, way too great; I'm completely okay with Prime's face now. The movie can't come fast enough!

Oh, and as for the personalities of the 'bots being in evidence, who can deny it, after having watched all of the spots and trailers? I think that the reason the humans have featured more prominantly in these is that they are trying not to spoil the film for us by getting us used to the new TFs beforehand. I can appreciate that.

How do you guys view these things? I'm in germany and it seems to be working for me. If you haven't tried using Firefox, you might want to give it a go. I used that when watching the spoof and it was fine, no country specific rights whatever. Although I wasn't using a proxy, maybe that will help too.

Oh, and maybe change the thread title, "fottage" sounds like a word in a language I haven't heard yet (this coming from a 2+ language guy)

I only ever use firefox, and it still doesnt work. And i made a typo, it actually says they cant show the footage outside of the US, not UK.

Whats a proxy?

you realize cullen gets paid for that.. it's not like someone ran up to him on the street and was like please please can you do a recording for my answering machine in retro 80's prime voice.

Autobot032 wrote:I have to give MTV and Cullen both a lot of credit.

MTV for going the extra mile, and to Cullen for being the kickass nice guy he is and recording that bit.

It also proves one thing, the voice we heard in the leaked commercial where you first see Prime's "lips" was, in fact, Cullen's.

It was a little weird to hear the deeper voice at first, but after repeated viewings, he sounds fantastic.

I noticed your typo, but I'm not the correcting kind of person :D
Proxies, or an anonymous proxy connects you to a server and in turn the server connects to the website you are going to. In this way it is possible to view US only content from anywhere in the world. Firefox has a "Switch Proxy" addon that you can find on their "extensions" link. I prefer to use a US anonymous proxy from samair (google "proxy list") with a ip with a port 80 connection, example like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80. try it out, it usually works for me. (strange though I can view the content without a proxy)

Plus who is to say that their eyes do not need lubricating like ours do? They might need some sort of lubricated hydrolic fluid in order to keep their optics from ceasing up or grinding against their eye sockets. Blinking may re-lubricate their eyes to keep them fucntioning properly, plus like chris said it can be like refreshing an imagine, changing focus, color correction and it just adds a bit of emotion to the character.

That was kinda funny, and Primes lips realy didn't look that bad either.

As for Sara, Always a pleasure, I've loved her since Mr. Show, and don't see any reason to stop now.

But that is done much faster than the human eye can detct.

Surley alien robots from an advanced civilization possess more advanced optics than an '82 Radio Shack PC monitor?

Well prime is millenia old, so I'd say the 82 radio shack monitor is newer and more current. Thats my line and I'm sticking to it. :P
