I can 100% confirm that the small round batteries do indeed leak/break.

This very morning I opened up a brand new MIB Micron Legends Jetfire. His batteries in the gun had broken open and begun to leak. No major spillage, but for all you MISBers out there...now you have more to worry about.

Oh God! I just remembered that I've got some MPs that still need batteries removed. I'll tackle depowering the rest of the collection over the course of the week. Funny story, one night my then-wife and I were awakened by something "moaning in the general vicinity of my glass display cases. It was freaking us both out a little. Finally after a couple minutes, I decided I was a man and went to confront the whatever-my-death-was-gonna-be. Come to find out, it was Energon Skorponok slowly dying. I laughed pretty hard for a few minutes then went about removing his batteries. Then laughed some more.

I'm still not too worried about my toys, but perhaps I should check up on the MPs, since I haven't played with their light-up gimmicks lately.
