Extensive Look at Takara Animated Rodimus

It can't be denied, 2010 is shaping up to be the year of the Rodimus. With countless releases, mainly from Takara, we get another look at their version of Animated Rodimus. If Diem's photos left your mouth watering, the gallery from our friend Alfes 2010 will finish off the job. Comparing to Hasbro's version of Rodimus Minor, which you can see in the Seibertron.com galleries, Takara gives Rodimus a metallic magenta feel. Check him out below!

He needs to have more of a pinkish hue to the coloring. It'd be more accurate to the G1 color scheme (which is what they're trying to replicate here) and this just ain't hittin' the mark.
Sure does make me want that Masterpiece Rodimus more and more, though.

BBTS says mine is in stock and ready to ship. Have not found it at any local TRU, so this will have to be it. Love the vehicle mode, mixed on bot mode, but this is for my son anyway, and he'll love it.

That's what I was thinking of doing but since the first pics of Takara's version I think I'll just pass on the figure completely if I can't find Hasbro's version, I don't want to do that but if it happens it happens.

So glad I got Hasbro's version. Not impressed at all by what Takara has done with most of the Animated toy line. The main exceptions being Skywarp, Megatron and Blackout. Otherwise I'll stick with Hasbro.

These photos just need color correction. He is actually a deep glossy red with metallic flakes. His color is darker red than the Hasbro version and over-all he looks almost burgundy in color compared to the purplish hue in these photos.

I prefer the more G1-toy-accurate red of the Hasbro version. So I'm glad I finally got him! 
Only slight disappointment is that the waist piece is not painted, but then I didn't know it was supposed to be until I looked at the image on the back, so it's not that big of a deal.

I just got mine today, and yea its quite magenta dare I say bordering on purple even. but I like the shiny paint quite a bit.
He's nice and tight all around.
