Trikeboy wrote:Well, kinda. Planet Iacon got pictures of a Masterpiece Galvatron they assumed was X-Transbots Galvatron. However, the images are from a custom made Galvatron based on the Jizaitoys design.

and here is the custom shown over on tfw2005's Radicon page: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/creative-general-discussion/389405-custom-masterpiece-galvatron.html
On the actual Tyrant front, I asked X-Transbots about it on facebook and they said October 2012. http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=339945959418199&id=190452341034229 Their website also lists him as standing 9.2 inches which is roughly the same as Masterpiece Rodimus and Optimus. Yay. The Jizaitoys design truly was a masterpiece of engineering. I can't wait to see pics of Tyrant but I will not be dropping any cash till I see it. I'm really happy that Robotkingdom will be carrying it.

Stormrider wrote:I remember seeing the Gif of transformation on Jizaitoys a while back. Amazing to see it made. Although it is Masterpiece size the details so far not on Masterpiece level. I hope they are able to fix that.
Gauntlet101010 wrote:People have been mixing this up with X'Transbot's prototype since it started.
I hope all this time since we've seen their initial start has been spent on improving what we saw. Because, as a Galvatron fan, I gotta say ... I wasn't impressed. Deluxe engeneering on an MP sized figure? No thanks.
Trikeboy wrote:There isn't anything that complex about Masterpiece figures when you think about. Soundwave will probably be the least complex of the range to date, And there wasn't much to Grimlock or Starscream. In fact, the only one that had a very involved transformation was Megatron.

It's not the complexity of the transformation, it's the overall look of the figure. Specifically, the large ball joints (admittingly, used in Grimlock) and the large gaps around where they connect. Which this kind of joint is forgivable at deluxe size, it's just magnified at MP size.
And those gaps in alt mode, again forgivable in deluxe or voyager size, are just about inexcusable at MP size where you have a lot more room to work with.

I don't know about a KO, but I definitely hear you on voyager size.
I don't really understand the MP fascination. I certainly don't have space for a bunch of figures almost a foot high. I def. I don't have the money either, and I'm not waiting 20 years to get some kind of full g1 list of characters.
There are a lot of classics deluxe figures that hasbro put out that should have been voyagers, and Galvatron is top of the list.
Its like another poster said, its not like the transformation are any more complex.
Gauntlet101010 wrote:Well, to me Masterpiece is more than just size.
The prototype as they showed isn't a Masterpiece or even Leader class figure. It's on oversize deluxe.
Right now I have Energon Galvatron standing beside MP Roddy and he actually is just about the right height, Just a hair too short. Yeah, he's not G1 enough, but everything is nice and sharp and it looks nice enough. This one ...
Well, it needs quite a bit of work. I won't say unsalvageable, but it needs work.
