Okay, wait. What's the logical reason for them not making a City Commander version of Powermaster Optimus Prime? The Powermaster wouldn't be compatible with the Classics Optimus like the original Hi-Q/Ginrei was. So what if this is a new Ginrai with his Transsector? And the hitch on the back of the Heartmaster altmode are for a later trailer to attach to him like the trailer for for Powermaster Optimus? Dude, just imagine that! This could be the first part of something truly amazing!

It'd be great if it were Powermaster Prime. But I think trying to find an actual character he's supposed to represent is grasping at straws. Unless the colors prove me wrong, he seems to just homage the concept. Every other toy or concept they've made was clear to who it homaged.

It's too bad they didn't go for broke and make him a Target and Headmaster too. Why not, if he's not supposed to be anybody anyway? Oh well. It looks awsome.

All this speculating is making my head hurt. There's a lot of good ideas out there, although I reckon anyone still hoping for WW Grimlock is going to be disappointed.

The notion this thing could work with City Commander is interesting in both good and bad ways. I could see a reason behind FansProject doing that, and would anyone disagree with me if I said HeartMaster's vehicle mode would look better with the aesthetics of City Commander's trailer mode than Classics Magnus does?

Screw it, I'm gonna throw another idea out there and see if I catch anything. What if they release Heartmaster on his own with only his weapon, no PowerMaster partner, a remolded chest to counter the missing little fella, in Ultra Magnus colours, and the ability to work with City Commander.

But they also release the whole figure complete with partner, in Optimus Prime colours and with possibly a new trailer. They could kill two birds with one stone. Help out anyone who never managed to get Classics Ultra Magnus and at the same time provide us with a PowerMaster Prime.

It wouldn't be the first time FP released the same mold twice with different accessories: the scythe that came with Shadow Scyther as well as Munitioner/Warcry and Explorer/Flameblast.

The shoulder exhausts alone blow the City Commander compatibility. I don't think they'd make it work with it without releasing the City Commander again, even as a bundle.

Looking at it, you might be right. That is unless there is more to this figure than we have seen. New shoulders? Maybe some included accessory? I don't know. Honestly, I've been on both sides of this being another Magnus. No it's not, yes it is... God I feel like Mitt Romney! :lol:

If this is an Ultra Magnus, will anyone wait for a Prime repaint? I have to admit, if this is a version of Prime or Magnus I'm much more interested. Blowing $80-$100 on Joe Nobody Power master homage is one thing, blowing that on Prime is another.

Personally I'd rather have a Joe Nobody Powermaster than a 10th version of Prime. Unless it's a Powermaster Prime homage. It looks nothing like him, though.

I think there may be something to this War Within/Armada homage business... in addition to the comparable features to Armada Overload/Superlink Ultra Magnus/Energon Ultra Magnus, the chest is reminding me a little bit of Armada Supercon Optimus....

Throw in a trailer for a supermode and you can color me very, very interested, in both Ultra Magnus and Optimus Prime flavors.

An upgrade to their City Commander character that freed it from needing any Hasbro parts would be richly symbolic for FansProject.

I'm pretty skeptical about the Heartmaster being able to fit the previously released City Commander trailer armor, but there's nothing to prevent FP from releasing a trailer specifically for Heartmaster.

Nope, pure speculation just for fun based on all the WWI Magnus chatter going on.

Is interesting though that it looks like it has a hitch and gap in back which would allow something to be attached later.
