The wings kind of annoy me... I wish it was more a forward and back articulation rather than up and down, with panels sliding over each other (this is all from a robot mode perspective.

I dunno, maybe I'm just spoiled by Marvel Legends Archangel...

Nah, the wings are a joke. Besides what you mentioned, the middle joint is the wrong way around, if it bent the other way they'd look a lot better. The legs also kill it for me. Even if they did do a mass release for the diaclone version I'd still pass.

I don't collect Marvel, but Archangel's wings look like they are leagues better than what we get with TFs.

Anyone else find their Cubrar to have a staggeringly loose waist? Mine has no friction of any sort. Also, the side chest plates (which are meant to be rotated 180 degrees) have no ratcheting/clicking on mine, and thus shift around constantly.

Common problem?

I don't know why, but he does look better in blue. I'll see how he looks with his teammates before swopping, but I may go Blue.

This.... is actually a pretty impressive move on their part. The only downside is it's caused a delay until April. Frankly, I can wait if it means this.

This is awesome news! Now we don't have to hound down the exclusive version (assuming there will no longer be one), and it makes double-dipping pay off, because now you can get 2 replacement hips for Columpio. Thanks FP!

I was okay with the red torso, because I do have a mix of toy and toon coloring in my Classics collection. But I do prefer the look of the blue in this case. (As an example, I prefer the black instead of red head on Cubrar, though the red head is toon accurate...)

No, you're right. 2 Torso's, one figure. One set of hips. But the guy said double dipping, which means buying the thing twice (obviously for 1 red chest, 1 blue chest on display). In that case, there would be 2 sets of hips. And a spare torso of each colour.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant by "double dipping", I would like to display one Volar with the rest torso and another one with blue. I have both versions of Columpio and was hoping to continue the trend with the rest of the FP series. Now I know if I buy two retail Volars, I get two hip replacements for Columpio and I have one Volar with each color.

You know, the Diaclone version of Sludge also had a red chest. The paint app varies a bit and real chrome is much shinier than the version found on the regular release.

With the vintage 80's toys, both the Diaclone and Transformers versions sported shiny chrome. So Fansproject choosing to label the golden chrome as being "Diaclone" isn't an accurate description of being a homage. To make matters worse, they released Sludge first, using metallic red to differentiate "Diaclone" from "Transformers". (Both versions of the vintage 80's toy were flat red chests) Im sure many people (including myself) speculated the metallic paint and shiny gold convention exclusives were meant to be "premium" versions rather than Diaclone. it wasn't until we saw the blue chested Slag that we knew they were really shooting for Diaclone homages. And Im sure some people were frustrated that Slags blue chest wasn't metallic paint like they got with Sludge. I think after this, reality finally sunk in for Fansproject that a blue Swoop uproar was not a smart move when they are going to compete with the other 3rd party Dinobots. I can only hope at some point they offer some silver horns for the retail Slag since the cartoon accurate look is now a retail option for Swoop. I hate those hideous red vintage toy accurate horns and it appears they can be removed and replaced easily if parts were made available.

I just love how angry you get over something as minor as red horns on Slag. Of all the things to complain about on that toy (fragile weapon drone, inhibited waist etc) you pick the horns being red as your major point of contention. This is Chris-Chan and the Blue Armed Sonic all over again. :lol:

Cant help but hate the red vintage toy accurate horns. Especially the nose horn which was not even red on the vintage toy. It makes him look like a clown. :o)
