Can anyone shed some light on the heartmasters?

I would imagine they would retain combining abilities, after all, why would you remold to undue a feature that many people might buy it for so they can create another version of the CROSSFIRE enhanced Bruticus?

It is very possible that they would lose people/sales, like myself, who would buy multiple versions, if they do not retain the combining feature.

Well, Explorer's alt mode was this:

Which is an unmanned orbital vehicle, hence no cockpit.

But maybe instead of painting it on, it will be a decal, which means those who want Explorer to look more like his G1 space shuttle could apply the decal to Explorer. No idea if this is the case though.

I don't need combining features on these guys. That's what the original were for IMO. These look to original stand alone characters. Yesss!!

Agreed. But I'm wondering why they chose Fireshot. The alt mode seems like it would have better suited a different Micromaster Combiner Team - Phaser or (cringe at the terrible G1 name) Blast Master:

I'll be skipping the Springer repaint.

The Not-Insecticons are looking freaking SWEET though!

Explorer is designed after a real ship, the Orbital Sciences X-34, that made it to the prototype phase but was never built for production:

I'm -slightly- annoyed that the Explorer mold didn't get its own guns until this. But as they're looking awesome for stand alone versions I'll forgive them.

That Growl/Fireshot comparison looks almost dead on though. Perhaps they're taken up what Hasbro started with redoing Micromaster characters as 'normal' guys.

Which means Dropshot will finally have some buddies to help him fight Countdown and Big Daddy.

all i can say is mooooove over DOTM movie toys, FP will leave it in the dust!!!! Warcry and Flamebast are better looking than the originals, FP is so awesome!!! all of these will be bought and i've heard Classic Devy should be the next one in line to fix like Brutiucs and Superion was perfected by FP.

i wonder who C6 and C7 will turn out to be? or how they will look?

From whom? IIRC, someone said they(FP) stated at Botcon that they wouldn't be touching Classics Devy.

With all these new figures from Fansproject coming out, do you think that Hasbro might start to take more of an interest in their characters being used in this way? One or two a year they could probably ignore but we seem to be seeing more and more recently.

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE WITH THE SOUND OF MUSIC!

The two we saw pictured and compared to the not-combaticons. The other three shown in detail with names and all 5 with release dates! A ton of undated mentions.

Heartmaster... hmm... there was a very Arcee-esque bot in the Protector comic.

I'm really looking most forward to the Causality line. With the first five, I thought it was going to follow the Classic's 5-bot combiner with stand alones (it still may, Warcry still had those pegs on his bumper), but we also have two more coming after that, and then we're getting Crossfire 3. Is that the combiner parts for CA? All 7 or just the first 5? Or is it for another the other Classics set most people own?

Wait, wait! On closer inspection I see Warcry's combiner socket is covered. If that's sculpting that way not a cap, we have to kiss the combiner theory goodbye (with him at any rate). And say hello to an even awesomer concept: Fansproject is developing their own line of stand alones not tied to Transformers.

Stormshred and Backfire are too cool for school! I have no clue who they might be or if their new characters all together, but I have to get them! even though I made a promise to myself not to buy too many expensive 3rd party stuff, I seriously have to get those guys. >.>

Except the resemblance to Growl and Fireshot is very strong indeed. I think that Munitioner and Explorer are amongst the greatest transforming figures of all time, with a fantastic range of motion given their size. The only thing that stopped me getting them is that I really don't like the other three Combaticons of the Bruticus Maximus set.

I can see Shrapnel and Kickback in CA-04 and -05 respectively, but I can't see Bombshell in CA-03, so I'm not sure what to make of them. They all look great, that's for sure.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Crossfire-03 could be FansProject's own, from scratch combiner, especially given the appearance of the "mammoth-bot" at the back of Protector's booklet.

If WB-002 is indeed the evil repaint of Defender I can easily skip that and save myself some cash. But with all the other figures from Hasbro, Takara, Perfect Effect and these guys, it'll be like dodging a bullet only to hit by a nuke. If it's their Broadside figure, then that'll be the worse situation. Like a nuclear bullet to the man-vegetables.

"(Audacity) Amelioration of Novel form, HeartMaster — HM-001". My god that's a tough one to decipher! Just to be clear, I'm working under the assumption that this describes a single product. Heartmaster being the term for Powermaster fits very well. But maybe a little too well. I can see why folks thing Arcee, but that would mean FansProject were treading on the toes of other 3rd party companies. Everything they produce has a certain unique-ness to it. It fills a gap in the market or adds to an existing product. If memory serves, FansProject announced their G3 Trailer before BTS did theirs. Plus, any Insecticons that may be part of Causality I would imagine would fit the Classics requirement, and therefore not directly rival Mastermind Creations Hearts of Steel Insecticons. And yet, as I typed that I realised something. "Amelioration of Novel form, HeartMaster" In other words, an "improvement" on a novel form. (Again, I'm making an assumption that "novel" refers to a book rather than a "novelty".) Could this actually be FansProject taking a step in to the world of Hearts of Steel? That would be quite "audacious" indeed. It's the only thing I can think of that both terms (novel and heart) apply to.

I could go on for a while still with various ideas. I would like to thank those who pushed on through my post, and apologise for any will to live that was lost on the journey.

I know it may sound a bit a-hole-ish, but I really wish hasbro would copy these two molds and release a bunch of them. They are both awesome and I would love to have all of them, but I just can't afford them all.

If they were $12.99 a piece, weeeeellll, maybe I could swing picking up more than just munitioner and explorer.

It strikes me that at least 3 of their molds have or will be used to make multiple characters, e.g. Growl and Swindle.

With that in mind, can we expect them to do so with more molds, especially since they seem quite willing to provide new heads for the repaints?

If that is the case, will these 'Insecticons' get the same treatment? Will 'Kickback' be re-released as Ransack?

I really hope to see some scout cars from them, preferably Stunticons, Streetwise or Battlechargers. Battlechargers would seem to fit the repaint criteria I mentioned earlier. Though if they continue the Micromaster/Combiner trend, Breakdown could share a mold with Freewheeler.
