Micromasters?

From day one i thought these guys were based off the Japanese exclusive operation combination set which had a white repaint of Balst Off and red Swindle.

I just assumed the changed heads were just a creative way of distinguishing the characters...

I also thought they were going for the Battle Gaia look as well. The similarities are striking. And I think with the colors Energon Bruticus has, it would look nice. I really with they had a repainted head for Bruticus though.

Thanks so much for the hard work on getting the photos up. They look awesome! I was hoping they would come packaged with their own combiner parts, but oh well. Maybe FansProject could package a set of just the parts like the Aerial team.

Is there any chance with the announcement of Croosfire 03, that this could be a Battle Gaia and Crossfire 03 be Onslaught, Vortex and Brawl? First to complete the Battle Gaia combiner team, then repainted for NOT-G1 Combaticons? Probally wishful thinking with the similarities to the micromasters with the names, colors, and atl. modes... but still one can dream.

Im suprised we haven't found out more about Crossfire 03 or WB-02 yet. Normally, FP has at least two projects "in the making" at the smae time, one from Parallax and one from the Crossfire guys.

Frankly, I'm OK with that. I have too many irons in the fire with Preorders, etc. as it is.

I'm with AMCGRATH on that. I need to budget out as much of my 2011 fiscal obligations as possible. My hope is to complete a US G1 set this year and need to know if I can pull the trigger on some high dollar items (curse you Bludgeon, you are not worth the price) or wait for more coolness.

Makes you wonder if they only got part of thier shipment in because they are still listed as preorder on the site and some people say theirs have processed while others are still in preorder. Maybe they just processed some of the earlier preorders with whatever they got in. Idk, just speculating.

It was a bit odd, my Warcry processed and then the Flameburst did about 7 hours later. I had gotten in on the preorder as soon as it went up. Is this the record for the fastest preorder and shipment in Fansproject history?
