It's been released for several days now-I know TFSource is already showing theirs in stock. Has anyone gotten this add on set yet, and if so, can someone post a picture and/or feedback about the gun. I don't think there's ever been an actual picture released of it, just a mock-up/3D image.

Online toy retailers TFSource.com now has the FansProject TFX-03 City Commander add-on set in stock and has updated their website with photos of what's included. As was known from earlier news from FP, we're getting repainted missile launchers that match the classic red and white scheme of Q1 Magnus, along with a very cool transforming gun. What hadn't been disclosed before is that the set also includes three new face plates for your City Commander's head! The three designs are all pretty unique and should add a whole new dimension for collectors to display their City Commander armor.

Wow, 3 extra faceplates too? That's just great! FansProject definitely is at the top of the 3rd party producers. Great designs, great quality, solid products so far!

yes they do, but only 2 of them (the original face, and the closed mouth face)

Wow, that's sweet. I probably won't use the faceplates, but it's still a cool little unexpected extra. The gun looks awesome...too bad it won't attach to the trailer mode on the original CC though.

Oh well, at least they made sure the launchers would attach to either version.

This is great!

The I love the packaging, The rifle can store either in the G3 trailer or on City Commanders leg, And the new shoulder missiles can be attached to the first generation City Commander upgrade. Plus we get extra faceplates!

screw it, canceled my bigbad preorder and just ordered it from tfsource....thats twice they have failed in getting fans project items in 1st. now its a race to see who gets the alternity cliffjumper 1st :grin:

Wow, I wasn't gonna get this set, but now that he's got extra faces to go with the armor's I am soooo sold. Fans Project really does know what we want, and at a really reasonable price!

even though this isn't official, i still can't buy it in stores in my city. they just won't or can't sell them... and my Classics Ultra Magnus is itching for shoulder missiles. :sad:

The concept art wasn't black it was blacked out, like a spoiler image while the CGI concept art showed it in white. Ultra Magnus' gun was white in G1 and the only time he used a black one was the epic reveal scene in Dreamwave's "War and Peace" when he used Prime's gun out of armor. If you want him holding that, Classics Magnus originally came with an all black version of the smokestack rifle so you're covered there.

None of the Fansproject products are sold in stores. You have to buy them online from the regular places (BBTS, TFsource, etc.)

Also, the missiles are for the Fansproject City Commander add-on armor, which Classics Ultra Magnus wears. The missiles won't attach to the figure directly.

I guess that I will be drilling some holes into the City Commander Upgrade to make those launchers attach in alt trailer mode. SCARY!!

Apparently the upgrade set will be able to attach to City Commander in trailer mode. No one is sure how yet.

I'm going to pick a couple sets of these up. I kind of like the G1 Magnus shoulder launchers I have on my City Commander, but being able to attach these launchers in trailer mode and the gun put this over the top.

Now c'mon Fans Project, do a set for Nemesis Prime. Don't make me have to repaint these myself. ;D

So this has been in stock at TF Source for like two weeks now, but still not in at BBTS? That's odd... I'm personally not in a big hurry as it'll likely sit in my POL till Alternity BB arrives, but odd nonetheless.

I just checked out TF Source and noticed that their availability has changed back to "Preorder Item" with "Restock November" as the release date.

Maybe BBTS is waiting on this November shipment for some reason?

Pure speculation, of course. I have no idea how online retail works.
