He's eating her arm, basically. This is the scene where Daniel jumps in to 'save' her and ends up getting injured so badly that he must be tied to machines for the rest of his life (machines which, oh so conveniently the Nebulons who LIVE IN A CAVE happen to have handy) so that they can have an excuse take the necessary steps of putting him in an exosuit and turning him into a soldier in the interstellar alien robot war as one of the alien robot's heads so that he won't be bedridden for the rest of his life.

Still can't get into this awkward FP sculpted toy in either mode. While the 1987 Apeface toy had it's problems, Thought it looked slightly better than this.

Each to their own. It looks good for a triplechanger that has both a beast mode and jet mode with transforming weapons. If you don't like it don't buy it.

Hehe, well, at least poor Daniel didn't get dragged into the war just because he put a pair of old glasses on ebay .

I want to see pictures of him walking like a big dumb ape dragging his knuckles, Thats how Im going to be posing him when not in robot mode. And I already have a nice spot in my parts box reserved for those weapons if they dont fit on his back.

Anyone read anything about this Apeface in a while? Is he still in development and planned to release? This is one of my most fav Transformers and been waiting on a good new figure for many years. Triplechanging, headmaster and awesome, good combo plus I still like his G1 figure but a new one could be great.

If there was anything on this, we would've bumped this thread.

We haven't even seen anything on this guy, or the couple figs that are supposed to be coming out before this guy.

I dont have the chart handy, but as I recall by numbers, Hardhead is next after skullcruncher. However, nobody expected Quickswitch to be shoehorned into the Function X line. Im guessing "Function X" is a particular designer since Quickswitch's aesthetics were on par with the headmasters. While Im all for Apeface, until they confirm a Snapdragon to go with him, Im in no hurry. I am excited about replacing my Toyworld Hardhead with one that scales properly with his teammates. The only Autobot character Im missing from the Rebirth is Highbrow, so that would be the one i want next if I had a choice. My Rebirth Autobot shelf is amazing.

I was going to ask this awhile ago mainly because there seems to be not alot of news coming from FP lately they were all steam ahead then combiner wars got announced and that was it.

Why is this line so slow in general? Is most of FansProject's resources being devoted to something else right now?

They're probably gearing up for another shot of 5. They were pretty regular at first with Code, Smartrobin, Quad U, Sigma, and MadLaw. Would like to think we can expect the next 5 to come one after the other with Hardhead, Highbrow, Skullcruncher, and hopefully Snapdragon and Apeface.

Regardless how quick it happens, my wallet appreciates the pause.

Thanks for the info. I never really been into Snapdragon so I dont mind about him just as long as Apeface is released, hopefully soon. The youtube video of Function X Apeface's transformations looks pretty good to me. Been thinking about trying to make a custom Apeface using the G1 headmaster head on a newer figure. Saw a couple online but nothing that satisfies me yet.

There's news, but it's not exactly what you've been expecting. Repaints of Code and SmartRobin (and I think one of MADLAW as well).

I would imagine we'll get the recolors this summer, and then hear more about the above F-X characters during TFCon with maybe 1 releasing this Fall.

Oh thats good I was starting to wonder. At least these might be up someones alley. I'm glad they have taken a break just I can get some Combiner wars Stuff before I miss out so its been nice to have wallet rest.

Apeface was one of my favorite G1 toys back in the day.

Are there any pics of the actual figure yet?
