No thanks to all 3 or 4 3rd party Jetfire's. The Hasbro 30th Leader Jetfire,I think is superior in both modes.

True, and I really like the new Jetfire. But it is not G1 cartoon accurate, so I won't begrudge those looking for a true "Skyfire."

I like Hasbro's Jetfire. I do. However, I'm disappointed with the fact that he's a giant cheat. It's one thing if there's a fake chest or something, but pretty much everything on him is a cheat.

You just flip over the vehicle mode and there he is, a robot. The nose cone even folds down his back with no integration.

I just think it's a bit lazy, you know? But I'm a fair guy. To incorporate G1 and IDW designs into the figure, is pretty awesome. I must give them credit for that. Especially the fastpack armor. How cool is that?!

That's a bit premature considering we haven't seen all the 3P offerings yet. Add to that Leader Jetfire isn't G1 cartoon accurate and FT Skyfire will be and you can't claim one is necessarily superior to the other, they are meant for different collections

Leader Jetfire does look good, I'm considering getting him, but as Autobot032 pointed out

For FT to make their Skyfire cartoon accurate they will have to be a better job with the transformation that what Hasbro have done with Jetfire.

I dunno. To the extent that Generations isn't supposed to get the simplified treatment, It's somewhat disappointing that he'll have a rather basic transformation. But then again, I really don't mind harking back to Universe Silverbolt, Skyfall, and Darkwind in that respect.

As far as the G1 complaints... I don't get what the problem is. This is Generations, not G1! If you want G1, either pick up a 3rd Party offering or wait for the official MP.

The only problem I have with the new Hasbro Jetfire is the alt mode. While the robot mode (which is Skyfire) is in perfect scale with classics figures, the jet mode clearly is not. The cartoon accurate Skyfire jet looks like a giant Cybertronian cargo jet.




Jetfire turns into a Macross fighter jet that scales horrible with other classics fighter jets. It’s like displaying MP Starscream with your classics seekers. So in essence it’s an alt mode you cant even use. The robot mode was for the collectors, but the jet mode was designed with kids in mind. Like all leader class figures, it wasn’t meant to scale with any smaller figures, it was just meant to be big and look cool. Were lucky it works for classics in robot mode.



I’m not a fan of the fake cockpit on his chest. It’s like they cheated just to throw G1 cartoon fans a bone. Ill buy it but Im open to a real classics Skyfire in both modes.

Holy ****, Fanstoys has some pretty crappy luck. They had their Acoustic Wave and MP Soundwave comes in and shits on that project. Then there's this and.. while their Jetfire is essentially a MP-tier offering, a HasTak LC Jetfire is probably going to sway a bunch of their potential customers away. RIP Fanstoys.

To be fair FansToys says they know about Hasbro's LC Jetfire and they're still coming out with theirs. And judging from what "everyone" is saying people still want FT's Skyfire. not me though. I'll stick with official MP stuff unless it's awesome like Quakewave. =D

HasTak is increasing the scale for classics Generations. Wanting everything to fit into the previous smaller scale is living in the past.

1.0 had the Jetfire design & scale you seek. just buy that & call it a day.

HasTak Had to be very creative with the 30th leader scale Jetfire to avoid a law suit from macross.

Your opinion is biased since you always say you don't like the MP TF toys & leader sized TF toys scale. I'm sure if you had your way 30th Jetfire's toy would be deluxe scale.

HasTak's classics generations toys scales are all over the place.

30th Jetfire more than deserves to be a leader scale toy. As he was a big guy in 1985. At least Hastak gave a character toy a proper scale.

According to the recent BWTF interview. Two Hasbro top employees confirmed that the TF4 Generations & 30th Generations toys are being aimed at the adults fans not the kids. So no,nothing about the 30th Jetfires toy is done to please the younger kids.

Yeah, I just feel like FT is either getting some bad luck or just getting picked on haha. Imagine if this was HasTak MP Jetfire instead of LC Jetfire. That would be two FT projects that look to have gone pretty far in production and that they would have probably given up on. Like Acoustic Wave was getting pretty far, it was a hard prototype before Hasbro came in with their MP announcement xD.

With Images of the new Fanstoys NotSwoop having been unveiled, the idea of finally getting a MP of old Skyfire has got me pumped! I can't wait and hope some new info gets released soon. Talking about released soon... I wish scoria would get here, lol.

Are most folks planning to get Hasbro Jetfire or FT Skyfire, both, or neither? And which series do you plan to display him in?

I plan on getting both. I'm more excited about a MP size version though from Fan Toys. I'm only buying the hasbro version to give to my son.

X you're not interested in the Daca Toys version? The fanstoys version might take sometime to come out as they'll likely finish all their dinobots before they tackle this.

I don't need any 3rd party Jetfire toys. I got the 1.0 classics Jetfire and soon will own the 30th Leader scale Jetfire toy. Both toys, I view, as great homage designed toys.

I only think it's necessary to buy 3rd party TF toys, When HasTak hasn't made a homage toy.

What happened to your strict rules about not wanting over sized barbie doll cabbage patch non-combiner TF toys?

You keep calling Hexatron a oversized Nine inch toy and want it Voyager scale. Yet you now have no problems buying a cabbage patch sized Ten to Twelve inch FT Skyfire toy?
