Favorite classics/RTS/Generations figs so far
- Motto: "Ker-Klick... Choom!"

I figured I would make this thread to get away from the DOTM line for a bit and discuss our favorite classics/RTS/Generations that have been released so far.
My top 5 favorites from the line so far
1) Kup.. Since 1986 Kup is, was and forever shall be my favorite Autobot and his Generations fig is a great re imagining of this character. Nice transformation, cool "musket" style weapon and a cool alt mode.
2) Warpath.. I saw the videos and pix and knew I would like this guy.. I did not realize that I would put him so high on my list but he is there.. A great remake of this character that stays faithful to who he is.
3) Jazz.. Words cannot describe this figure.. Sure he is not a Porsche, but he still is a faithful remake of this character.. Nice transformation, great articulation.. A+
4) Cyclonus.. I love the original but the RTS one is so much more a faithful representation of the character with his color scheme. Great articulation and you can't beat a Targetmaster weapon!
5) The Coneheads (all three).. This is what they should be, faithful to their G1 counterpart transformations, their look (I have botcon Thrust and I like him more than the Gen one released) and their overall feel.

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

It has to be Darkmount. I'm a big fan of Straxus and that figure is inspiring. The transformation, robot mode and posability are all superb.

From Generations, Cybertronian Megatron. The desgin is one of my favorites and he looks as any Megatron should despite being a Deluxe.
From RTS, Lugnut. Being desgined in the traditional aesthetic really did wonders for him, and the figure itself is just fantastic. Plus double the P.O.K.E goodness!

Jazz. His greatness has already been said. Nothing else needs added.
Wheeljack. He could be a little taller but he really fits the G1 look for me and I love him.
Warpath. He is awesome
Seekers. They are all done nice enough for me to love them.
Cyclonus. RTS Cyclonus is really cool.
Honorable mention would be Terradive. Great articulation and most of the alt parts blend in with robot mode and make him look very cool.
It really is hard to pick a top 5 let alone a very favorite because they are all so cool. Kup is awesome also. Perceptor is awesome but could use a different head mold. I wonder if igear will be working on one?

I see several being repeated.
But I have to agree with:
1 ) Jazz
2 ) Warpath
3 ) The Seekers in general - Got all six, bay-bee! Plus Acid Storm, but he dun count.
4 ) Cyclonus. Infinitely better than his G1 counterpart, though his alt mode DOES have a couple gaps here and there.
5 ) Voyager Inferno. He's just so chunky and solid, despite the hollow torso he utterly RAWKS.

Speaking only about the ones I have (I hope to get my hands on a Warpath and a Windcharger soon.) 1-Cyclonus, 2-Scourge, 3-Tracks, 4-Straxus, 5-Bumblebee (I know he is a simple repaint but, I didn't think I would like him as much as I do. He's great.)
I really hope these lines continue after the movie toys are out of the stores again. i guess I'll be looking at Cybertron and BeastWars on Ebay til then.

Re: Favorite classics/RTS/Generations figs so far
Jazz definitely. I never had the G1 (although there's a Pretender one somewhere about in the world that I own) but had Prowl and had played with some of the other Autobot car types. All pretty similar. I hadn't gotten my hands on a modern update of this type of figure, and Jazz was quite amazing. Poseable as he needs to be, nice, tight and tidy alt mode and awesome gun and speaker gimmicks.
Also, one that's surprised me: Skullgrin. I passed on Straxus, as he was only ever a head in the comics I read with him. I preferred the more muted colours on the repaint, and thought the new head was kinda creepy. It is and in a great way. Again, the extras he comes with, in this case 3 clip on weapons, and the toy's main sickle/axe type thing are great, he's poseable enough to get some nice action and more dramatic stances out of him and he looks like what he is: a mean Decepticon warrior.

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Jazz is amazing. Next favorite...perhaps Lugnut or Wheeljack or Blurr... Perceptor is very cool but a little flawed, same with kup. And I like Warpath but he doesn't wow me a lot for some reason.

1. Jazz is my number one favorite. As accurate as a revamped G1 Jazz can be, and updated with awesome articulation. The G1 homage speaker gimmick and accessories are IMO more than I dared to expect from a deluxe fig.
I bought the United version, BTW.
2. All four WFC figs. Awesome and accurate designs that deserve their own line, IMO.
3. Mirage. His head sculpt and transformation are very similar to his G1 toy. Plus, G1 Mirage was my first ever TF.

The Classics are an awesome line, and the RTS Generations figs really do pull out all the stops. My favs:
1. RTS Cyclonus: Uni Cyclonus was awesome, but RTS colours make this figure perfect.
2. Gen Red Alert: One of the toys I most cherished as a kid, and the mold really stands up to the best of Generations even though it's a bit older.
3. The Coneheads: I don't have Ramjet (yet) but Thrust and Dirge are freaking awesome, even though the mold is a bit simplistic, it perfectly captures the characters.
4. Drift: Yeah, I know, he's a bit controversial. But character aside, the toy is pretty darn amazing and very poseable. And he has swords. Three swords.
5. Although I don't own it, Cybertronian Megatron is an excellent figure. I wish they would repaint and retool him as Galvatron just so I could throw Universe Galvatron in a drawer and replace it with this figure, which SCREAMS "Galvatron!" to me, in both modes!

If I have to choose others, rather than Jazz 5 times it would work like this:
Mirage
Warpath
Wreck-Gar
Red-Alert
Did I mention Jazz?

Re: Favorite classics/RTS/Generations figs so far
So many outstanding figures to choose from as these lines have just been so damn good
Jazz is my favourite and the best IMO.
Cyclonus is pure class.
The Coneheads are simply superb.
Wheeljack is perfect, his height suits him to a tee.
Astrotrain - didn't think they would do such a good job on a Classic triplechanger. Makes me wonder why they haven't bothered making a decent, accurate Springer instead of that turd of a figure they released a few years ago.
I loved what they did with Wreckgar.
The reissue United Megatron is totally badass.
I still haven't gotten my hands on Generations Warpath as he was only available in extremely limited number of places in and extremely limited numbers in Japan so I missed out.
KAPOW!!
to HasTak for not making him more readily available and to TRU Japan for absolutely sucking ass.

So many good molds!! Ok, I'm gonna give my five favorite molds, and then the decos of preference, but in no way does that mean I dislike the other decos for said molds. Also in no order:
1)Mirage mold: Favorite deco would be the Crasher paint. I just love the articulation that this figure has. Amazing! Alt mode is also near perfect. Fun to transform as well.
2)Seeker mold: Favorite deco would be Henkei Starscream. Not as poseable as Mirage's mold, but when you just want a bad ass looking troop building army, you I can't go wrong with the seeker mold. Great representation in alt mode and in bot mode.
3)Cyclonus mold: Favorite deco would be the BiS. Cyclonus, the complete opposite of Starscream in terms of character. But I think that's what I love about him. Space jet that is recognizable only as Cyclonus, and the same for the bot mode. Limits repainting factor, but when if someone "owns" a look, it's Cyclonus! Oh, and he comes with a Targetmaster. That is just the icing on this aleady impressive cake!
4)Voyager Class Optimus Prime mold: Favorite deco SG Prime. IMO, one of my favorite Prime molds ever. I love just how solid this mold is. Has a great articulation, solid balance and great looking proportions. I don't mind the arm kibble at all. Not only that but I think he is in great scale when compared to the rest of the line. Not to tall, but not to short as well. And if you have any of the commander kits, you can just upgrade the crap outta this figure. If forced to choose only ONE figure in my collection that I was allowed to take in the "house is on fire" scenario it would be SG Prime.
5)Drift mold: Favorite deco United Drift (even though I don't own THAT version, I've seen it in hand). Character/personality aside, I'm just talking about the toy, this design and top notch. He has a different look from the regular G1 reimagined figures. Good alt mode and another super poseable bot mode. Comes armed to teeth with 2 butterfly swords and one long sword. I'm hoping for a Deadlock recolor down the line or at least a Decepticon from this mold.
Honorable mention would be the Ultra class Onslaught. I love this mold so much. He is a huge and hulking figure in both alt and bot modes. I have all versions of this mold (both US and Japanese, Botcon Clench, and Hardhead w/ Headrobots kit) and it just doesn't stop impressing me.
