War for Cybertron Siege/Netflix/Generation Selects Seekers





Day 10 - I acquired all of these this year, the FIRST one being Sparkless Seeker, who in my stories is simply called "Sparkless" 'cuz he's a cold-sparked killer - think Angel Eyes from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. I have a buddy who had an extra Hotlink and a Facebook group member caught the recently restocked Redwing and I got him on a local deal. Then, yesterday I picked up the Rainmakers from a local toy store that specialized in new figures. There's a clue to a future figure on the list in there - well, a clue to two figures actually.

I got all these guys for my stop motion stuff primarily, which sort of led to me completing Siege altogether. The only I don't have from Siege at this point is the fan choice set with IDW Impactor and others and Cog. And I have to get Cog - like ASAP.

Those Seekers are some lovely scores! Congrats!

Cybertron Vector Prime



Day 11 - A blast from the past. My reasons for picking up this figure, besides how cool it looks are two-fold: I needed a "master of time" for a story I'm working on, and my best friend had one (the Universe version) before he passed away.

My headcanon version of this character takes him away from being one of the thirteen (or at least doesn't rely on it) -

"Vector Prime is one of the only living Primes who abdicated his authority as leader of the Autobots in order to free himself to explore the temporal mysteries of the universe. He is a contemporary of Alpha Trion he also seeks to secure the future of Cyberton, even if his methods differ from that of his old compatriot."

Shattered Glass Optimus Prime



Day 12 - Had a busy day, but I'm getting it in in time. My other favorite SG figure to date - Optimus Prime. He's rocking his 3P LASER RIFLE. My Primes don't carry an Ion Blaster.

I don't think I've ever seen an Optimus Prime with a three-barreled gun that shoots green foam balls, tbh.

For my post today, I'm gonna go with Earthrise Sky Lynx! A figure worthy of his magnificence! I really like that they gave him a base mode too. I like to connect him with the Galactic Odessey set and the regular Ironworks and Airwave and line up energon cubes. Makes it look like it's all getting loaded up into his shuttle mode.

Titans Return Sixshot



Day 13 - One of the baddest of the bad, Sixhot. I found him in a local store and HAD to have him in May, when I spent and ungodly amount of money on action figures. He's very good and poseable, even though he has the Prime Wars floppiness in one of his knees.

Great figure! Got him last year. He looks great with the Toyhax stickers too if you're interested. Nice get!

I love him, but I can hardly post him in this thread when I've had him since 2017

True. You can't. Unless you got him this year, which I did. I kind of always wanted him, but at the time of his release I was still collecting Masterpiece which allows me to get stuff like him and Vector Prime now.

My pick for today is my customized Siege Ratchet with the Marvel-accurate head.

Ratchet is 1 of my favorite characters from the G1 comics and I always preferred the red head with the white visor, not just because it's from the comics, but also because I think it just looks better.

Marvel Ratchet is definitely one of the great ones. I don't currently have any figures painted for customization, but I do have plans. I saw a particularly impressive Delta Magnus painted from Siege Ultra Magnus, but there may be an easier way to get it than painting an entire Leader Class figure coming up soon. I thought about painting SELECTS Galvatron's helmet crest gray to match the helmet (and the comic), but I think I'm just going to leave it. Still, I can see something getting painted in the near future.

Galactic Odyssey Dominus Pursuit



Day 14 - This was my top want from the Galactic Odyssey subline from early this year. I also bought Paradron Medics. I think that covers it. Might have gotten something else. Doesn't matter.

Anyway, the dual threat of G1-izing non-G1 characters and always wanting the PotP Double Spy made this an instant purchase. Click. I upgraded Punch/Counterpunch with third party weapons approximating his original toy, and Barricade is keeping his shoulder cannons hand-held like with Siege.

That P/CP is a great figure. So very poseable. The Datsun mold is just alright, and I have no love for Barricade, but the other figure makes the set worth it.

I'll make this set my pick for the day as well, but mainly just for P/CP.

Barricade was the lone GO figure I got because of who he was, and instead he made me regret not getting the siege one, those dark purple windows added a lot to the look of the figure

Transformers x Back to the Future Gigawatt





Day 15 - By this point I thought I might be struggling to find guys to put in here, but I'm not even close to done. Today's is one I did everything I could to ensure I got one of. Of all the Transformers x figures, Gigawatt to me works best with the 'existing franchise' - I can come up with three or four different ways to explain him in franchise and violate nothing about Back to the Future as well.

Earthrise Quintesson Judge



Day 16 - I just got this guy yesterday. When we were all running around collecting Earthrise, the only store bought figure I never saw on a shelf was the Quintesson Judge. I own the sculpt in the form of the Pit of Judgement version, but I wanted to grab that brass ring with this one. Before it's all over, I'll get another - probably sometime in 2022.

Kingdom Battle Across Time Mirage



Day 17 - I was all about getting Cybertronian styled figures in-scale with each other. I was then all about getting Earth mode redoes of the same figures. No crying about 'just having bought x character a year ago' or any of that kind of stuff. I get why people feel that way, but I'm building my 'ultimate' (and probably final) Transformers collection so it's all fair game.

Anyway, I was non-plussed by the weird decision to not have the shoulder cannon on Mirage on the retool, so I grabbed an upgrade kit from JRC design. I got both shoulders, but only used one. Works great and low cost.

Nice! Today I'll go with Mirage as well. Netflix Decepticon version. I regretted not getting him when he was out in stores a couple summers ago, but was able to snag him earlier this year at a decent price on Amazon.
