And the Optimus Spotlight reinforces that.

Don't worry I erased it all.
I like from the comic that Grimlock had a bit more intelligence, and that Blaster was a freakin' kick ass leader, and secret agent.

I liked the concept of the Wreckers too, and loved the characterisation of Ultra Magnus throughout the UK comics. No doubt why he's my fave character now; to see some one constantly get beaten yet still have the courage to get up and fight another day... (didn't we all cheer when he finally pounded Galvatron in #161?)
Yep, I'm a Marvel UK fan for life

I LOVED in War Within that the Autobots start out DOUBTING Prime. It even looks like Kup and the others are ready to follow Grimlock in insurrection if need be. I thought that was a great. I also really liked the Autobots being broken-up into factions (Lightning Strike Coalition, Wreckers) and that treaties were signed to keep the combiners/gestalts out of the conflicts.
Plus, Grimlock being a pit-fighter was just f'ing awesome. But the things I DON'T find awesome about comics-Grimlock are few and far between.

Being a Grimlock fan as well, I agree with the above statements.
I really like the approach that Dreamwave used, in that they were building a story approaching from multiple points in time, that would have eventually all meshed into one. The War Within stories were epic. I really like how they showed how Megatron and Prime grew into the war, especially how Prime started out with self-doubt and didn't have the undying support from other Autobots.
I also really liked how there was more of a purpose to the war itself that was started by Megatron. I liked how Megatron was more in the know about the secrets of Cybertron, and how he used the war as a 'deception' to unlock more of the secrets for his evil purposes. Also to add, how Shockwave and Starscream seemed to know pieces of the puzzle that Megatron himself was not even aware of.
I liked how the Quintessons were the true evil (perhaps even greater than Unicron) lurking in the background. They seemed to know everything that was going on with everyone, and they were in complete control.

You would have burnout if all you ever thought of was your job.
Plus I like the fact that Tfs don't act so "roboty" as you would expect them to.

There are actually stupid Tfs, and psychotic Tfs, and emotional Tfs. What I find nice is that they don't know everything, and that they can even be fooled. They have hobbies and interests, and dreams. They don't always think of war, and the things of war, just like soldiers on a base in real life don't always think constantly of military and war things. When I was stationed at Ft. Eustis, one of my favorite things to do there was read books and magazines. And watch people play video games.
Agreed! ^^
I did like the concepts of character development of TFs in the comics. As mentioned above by others Grimlock's intelligence. I'm also a big fan of the Mr. Logic Shockwave in the comics, not acting like some fembot waiting on the end of the phone on Cybertron for Megatron to call.
I also like how over the years Ratchet has become some surly SOB. The comic Ratchet was probably closer to what we know of him today, but the G1 cartoon Ratchet wasn't really that grizzled. The animated Ratchet was quite amusing. Of course, was it the fanbase that developed Ratchet this way and the official writers picked up on it?

I liked that too, it's a shame it was introduced so late in the series, there was potential to expand on that.

But anyway...
Breastforce. Not only do they have animal partners a la' Soundwave, but they're Targetmasters to boot!! How is that not cool? Oh, and the Breastforce become Liokaiser, another plus.
