but season two has been awesome so far! I'm on episode 42 as of now, and I show NO signs of stopping! I like were it's headed, though I do question it from time to time. Times like, exactly WERE did Omega Supreme come from? Along with all these other new characters? They just appeared. That's by far my only problem. Otherwise, I'm liking it, and I see what you all see in it so far. You'll rarely hear these words of praise from a 90's kid either. usually were a picky bunch, but as a TF Fan, I decided to give it a chance, and I'm glad I did! It's been fun so far! Can't wait to make it to the movie (wich I already saw) But then it would make sense! I'm officially a G1 fan! Get out the T-Shirts! Anyway, all that aside, I like the new stuff, just as much.

It stops at season 3. It has it's moments but, fair warning here, no one ever mentions Carnage in C Minor to speak nicely about it.

It won't. Or, it will, for the most part, but season 2 doesn't lead into the movie in any way.

For me, it was easier to take in the G1 cartoon the first time I saw it since I watched it when it came out on DVD in the 6th grade (I too am a child of the 90s), which was a time when I had lower standards and could genuinely appreciate things more easily than I can now (having an adult mind, I can spot quality and no quality much better now).
I myself have taken to reading the Marvel G1 comics for the first time right now, and they're also quite "80's". There are good points and bad points to it, but even among some of the stinkers there are hidden gems to be found. The UK comics are, thus far, above average compared to most of the U.S. comics (the best U.S. comics were the earlier issues) and have a real "epic" feel to many of them.
Though, you say that you're on "episode 42" of season 2. Well, what order are you watching these episodes in, since there have been MANY different episode orderings of the G1 cartoon episodes?

uummm..Im watching them in the order their posted, by an episode guide, located here: http://www.ntfa.net/ntfa/g1/eplist.php
The only episode out of place was "The golden Lagoon" And it was switched with another on the list. But, both the episodes have no REAL significance to some greater plot point, so it didn't matter much.

Ah, production order, then.BeastProwl wrote:uummm..Im watching them in the order their posted, by an episode guide, located here: http://www.ntfa.net/ntfa/g1/eplist.php

Though, there are some problems that arise from watching them in this order (as well as broadcast order and any DVD order) for a select few episodes. A few examples include:
- "The Gambler" must be watched right after "Child's Play", since it follows up immediately after it.
- "Aerial Assault" should be watched between "The Revenge of Bruticus" and "B.O.T.", rather than way before it, as it does not fit anywhere else.
- The episodes "Thief in the Night", Starscream's Ghost", and "Ghost in the Machine" must be watched in that exact order for them to make the most sense.
- The episode "Fight or Flee" must also be watched at some point before "Starscream's Ghost", so likely even before "Thief in the Night"
- The episodes "The Big Broadcast of 2006" and "The Quintesson Journal" must be watched together in that order.
- The episode "Dark Awakening" has two different endings. One ending enables the episode to take place at any point within the middle of the season, while the second ending requires that it take place much later toward the end of the season immediately before "The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1". I strongly urge that, if you choose to view "Dark Awakening" during its typical mid-season placement, that you view it with the first ending. And then once you get closer to the two-part finale, directly before you watch "The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1", re-watch "Dark Awakening" (or at least its last few moments) with the second ending.

I'll go ahead and give you links to the two versions of "Dark Awakening".BeastProwl wrote:All that came to mind was THA **** SERIOUSLY!? wow.....Writing down for obvious reasons....

Awhile back, another friend of mine was also watching G1 for the first time and asked me for a list of season 3 episodes in an order that would fit sufficiently enough. I'll give it to you here now.
I used the production order as a basis, and went from there. I probably could have done the same with the broadcast order, but I feel that this is okay too.
- Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1
- Five Faces of Darkness, Part 2
- Five Faces of Darkness, Part 3
- Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4
- Five Faces of Darkness, Part 5
- The Killing Jar
- Chaos
- Dark Awakening (first ending version)
- Forever is a Long Time Coming
- Fight or Flee
- Thief in the Night
- Starscream's Ghost
- Ghost in the Machine
- Surprise Party
- Madman's Paradise
- Nightmare Planet
- Webworld
- Carnage in C-Minor
- The Big Broadcast of 2006
- The Quintesson Journal
- The Ultimate Weapon
- The Dweller in the Depths
- Only Human
- Grimlock's New Brain
- Money Is Everything
- Call of the Primitives
- The Face of the Nijika
- The Burden Hardest to Bear
- Dark Awakening (second ending version)
- The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1
- The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2
Though, I pale in comparison to TFWiki.BeastProwl wrote:Shadowman wrote:Sabrblade, serious question here: Are you Wikipedia?

And yet, aside from a few poor episodes, the writing of season 3 was overall improved from previous seasons.RhA wrote:I'm also very entertained by the idea that you have yet to encounter the horrid piece of donkeypl*p that is studio AKOM's animation. S 3 has the best and the worst side by side, both in Animation and in stories. It's my favorite series after Masterforce. Plus IT HAS GALVATRON.
