looks to me like they should have held off on the Ultimate Bumblebee and made an Ultimate Sideswipe instead. It appears to be a very good design.

Nice mold, somewhat. Hella more back kibble than I expected. Doesn't look like they pulled off the wheel feet for ****, and that's a major shame since I dug the fug out of that. Looks super top-heavy. The silver is uber boring.

Man, and this was a design I was totally looking forward to.

Looks sleek and sporty as he should. A few nice G1 bits like having doors down his arms. Though I'm not all that fond of -all- silver as a color, I may wait for the inevitable G1 style red and yellow redecos.

I'm pretty sure already having made an Ultimate Bumblebee wouldn't stop them from doing another...

This is the first figure that we've seen that I think looks halfway decent. It has great proportions, distinguishable features, and a really nice alt. mode. It is exciting to anticipate all of the mods and re-paints that are sure to come of this mold...it doesn't look like a Mc Donalds toy, or just a collection of hyper detailed limbs squished together to make a fictional vehicle or w/e (Jeeze...can't you tell??? It's a satellite!). Very few Bayformers from the last movie made it into my display...I think Blackout, Barricade, and Nightwatch Prime are the only 3 that I find in any way pleasing to the eye...the rest ended up as re-paints and fodder for extra ball joints and hinges. Especially Voyager Megatron...I mean, that has got to be the most useless Transformer EVER...can't mod it into anything recognizable, no useful parts for kitbashing...I put mine back into the box and tossed it into a closet...Couldn't even give that sucker away.
Let's hope this is the start of a trend towards halfway decent looking robots.

Feet are ridiculous. Hip pistons don't look like they work in the real world, or if they did, he would be slow.
Top-heavy back...

It's like they're not even trying.
There is a more traditional look to the face and in the reduced amount of rough surfaces, but...

Ugh. Nothing Binaltech/Alternators or some in the regular lines couldn't have coughed out.

It's like I'm looking at Strika's lower half.

...HOW many more movies they got planned before they stop this?

It's not too late to rename him Wheeljack you know. I think he looks more like wheeljack than Sideswipe.

Though I have to say it looks pretty well put together. Mad top heavy, but well constructed.
