I quite like how they did the shoulders and also the exhaust pipes look awesome as a backpack behind his head.

I will buy this.

Once in silver paint, once in red paint, again in yellow, and yet again if they paint it blue.

I just really like the alt mode, and the small corvette logo on Sideswipes midsection.

I really wish they would give some of these guys some spoilers(wing)- and for sure if you put wheeljack in these movies- don't forget it.I'll still get him- although- will need to custom him up a bit.

Nice toy. Might get it.

But it is NOT Sideswipe. Why is Prime the only Transformer in the films who is immediately recognisable? I just don't understand why they insist on redesigning the characters 100% and refuse to keep a single identifying feature.

I want to see a robot and be able to say "OH! That's Sideswipe! Wow! Ironhide looks awesome!"

Instead I'm left wondering "Who....wha..." and straining to hear a name muttered. :-(

I agree.
It was pics of Barricade that started my feverish excitement for the first movie. Now this is getting me psyched for the new one.
I can definitely imagine him in a cool chase sequence

He does look more like a 'Tracks' though.

I won't blame them for using a Chevy, and an ugly one at that, but it's Sideswipe, so I have to buy it.

I think it would have been better had they kept the car's hood as the chest and kept the red color scheme of G1 Sideswipe but it doesn't have that "messy" look in robot mode that most Bayformers have and overall it's quite a nice design.

This bothers me. How hard would it have been to make him blue and call him tracks? Really? Look at the exhaust tips behind his head, the ones on the end could have folded down around his head to mimic G1 tracks rocket launchers. This shows once again that bay and co aren't interested in the fan base at all. They know we'll go see the movie no matter what because we've been waiting for it since 84. I know what about peter cullen. That was don murphy's work. And I guarentee he pushed like hell just to get bay to meet with cullen in the first place. Man it pisses me off!
