I *used* to have a Lite Brite, not anymore. Not sure I want one now, either

I loved playing with that thing when I was a wee little gal. Wish I still had mine... Anyway, that's AWESOME. XD

Lite Brites had patterns even when they first came out.
You are correct.
Yeah, I remember mine coming with Snoopy. Those were the days!
I don't remember patterns..I remember basically black pieces of construction paper...and that's about it....Maybe my memory's faulty?

Perhaps your folks bought yours from a Kmart, back when Kmart had a little restaurant inside it?

That wouldn't surprise me. It was as if my aunt spent her life savings to get me my Optimus Prime.

1- Your telling me they still make Lite Brite?
2- Wasn't one of the Easter eggs on the 20th anniversary TF Movie DVD released last year a promo for Lite Brite patterns?

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

It's a box with a lightbulb in it with holes in the box that you put a pattern over top with a piece of black construction paper, and you put colored pegs into the pattern that shine the light through them and make it all pretty. Lame toy.

I beg to differ. Lite Brite offers another way for kids (old or young) to express their creativity. Lite Brite holds the same place in my heart as do Etchasketch (sp?) and magnadoodle. Sure, there's not much in the way of creativity in the patterns, but like a coloring book, a Lite Brite can spark the creativity to allow kids to imagine their own designs. (Somewhere I have a Lite Bright vikings helmet)

(I answer to Ag or Ags. Agamemnon is too long to type. Plus, there is something elemental about calling me Ag.
