Is it possible to give him elbows like the Devastator mold?

Re: First Look at Classics Combaticon Repaints?
I don't get the hype, why couldn't they have used the little A-10 from Energon Superion for an arm or something, just to mix it up alittle?
The fact that Energon combiners reuse the limb molds like this really irks me, it's just cheap.
Then there's the fact he has no hands or feet(which the G1 had).
I'll pass, easily.

So close to what I wanted to see but falling short. Onslaught fine, Brawl fine, Vortex fine.
Blast off should have been the jet from the Aerialbot set and for Swindle a retooling of the dune buggy from Cybertron (Hardtop?) would have worked well (transformation is the same as one of the Constructicon limbs).

I can get over the fact that Swindle is a helicoptor. In fact, looking back, 3 out of 6 Swindles were not a jeep. That's more than half. The idea of Swindle NOT being a jeep is not something new.
But I'll pick this up. I'm a sucker for Energon moulds. If only the show was as good as the toys. (Huh?)

i really like the usage of the energon combiners, but honestly im going to pass too. i just need to draw the line at some point at what classics i would consider worth it and im just not into the molds. looks good though!

Blast-Off does imply a spacecraft of sorts, but I can see the idea of "blast" tying in to a tank's cannon.
Not to be argumentative, being it does all bome back to what the individual fan can live with

emeraldbeacon wrote:What I don't care for, personally, is their continued usage of transparent plastic for the 'extremities' of the combiner. Why not use gray or silver? Why do we continually need glowing red-orange weapons attached to our military vehicles? Bruticus would look a lot more menacing with black or steel gray hands and feet, than transparent red-orange.
This. I'm not a fan of the Energon combiners at all, but even when I try to find winning qualities, this always comes back to me.

mm, no not really..
i don't mind repaints, i just find it weird that there are 2 onslaughts in Universe/classics. yeah there are two primes and megs as well. but i'm desensitized to those guys getting multiple figures. guess this comes from me liking the new mold onslaught better. maybe if it was designed as a combiner in that mold instead of repainting the energon mold then i wouldn't mind it so much.

I'll buy this, especially if that's really the colors it's going to be. Looks sweet to me. I thought about getting the Energon version, but didn't like the colors.

Re: First Look at Classics Combaticon Repaints?
it could be a print out mistake on the insructions because the helicopter it says he is is blast offs colour kinda and the tank it says blast off is in colors close to swindle brownish.
edit nope sorry just took another look im wrong

I don't care if they call one fo the helicopers Twinkletoes, the names they give these toys are unimportant to me. This won't even appear in any fiction!
I'll keep an eye out for availability and price, I might purchase this if I can. Though I do wish the red bits were solid. Clear looks goofy.

Rename one tank Quake, rename Onslaught Barricade and they'll fit into my collection fine enough. Anyone else catch the dollar sign on Swindle?

Lame!
Where is an original version of Bruticus?
Does that make too much sense? Or am I missing something?

Don't see why they just did not use the G1 moulds like they did in RID for this release. Why use the Energon moulds when you have the original so readily available and which was clearly a winner!

I have absolutely no interest in this.
But I'm out of the loop with the Energon line... Is this that great of a figure?
Cause from what I can see, it's weak.

'Cos there just haven't been enough reissues of that.
