It could be Drift or one of the other characters previously mentioned, but I smell an update of this.

I don't think it's Drift or Jazz. I'm just going with names that I know are still trademarked here but Downshift, Camshaft, Overdrive (or override as per TM) and Windcharger are all about due for a new character mould.

The other one doesn't look interesting enough to get my attention yet.

'Not For Sale' is engraved, it's on all of Hasbro's prototypes.

No one seems to be pointing out the clip points on either side of the hood on the red car(the rectangular space with the green button. That looks a lot like a place were an engine should go... I,m thinking this guy could easily be a power-master.

Nah' it's just unpainted translucent plastic. not really clips, just part of the windshield trim.

Huh? No, I'm talking about down on the hood above the wheel well If that's part of the windshield I'll eat my hat.(Luckily I do not wear a hat... >_>) Besides, the windshield is blue and the rectangle in the clip depression is decidedly green.

I just assumed that the green clips were hinges. And they would allow the middle of the hood to fold over part of the front fenders after splitting down the middle.

I'm looking forward to "transtech" Prime. His bot mode looks decent, with an almost bug-like head sculpt. His car mode looks okay, but the truck mode has that same "train-wreck" look from War Within.

Drift looks pretty cool in alt mode. Then again, concept art can be pretty deceiving, without looking at the final product. The use of cheap plastic and bad QC could easily ruin everything.

Just have to wait and see.

I would LOVE for there to finally be a release of some Transtech figures. I loved the idea of that line and where it seemed like it was going to head.
Then again, I seem to be in the minority.

I also didn't like any of the Japanese trilogy shows, and preferred Beast Machines to Beast Wars.

The first one could be any number of guys right now, so I'll hold off on any excitement until we get a word on who it might be, or a model in correct mold colors.

as for the second, The first thought that hit me was WW Grimmy, but again too soon. but honestly Transtech now?? Just don't see it.

Why not? It could easily be an update of the mold (minus the mini-con). Forget the proposed paint job and Hot Shot's original alt mode mold isn't far off it (if he was made to more realistic scale).

Maybe they're considering reviving the line now that the alien look of the movie-verse has gone down so well? Maybe THAT'S the new cartoon series? Why not? They've already done a lot of character design work from before it was scrapped... hmmm...
