Maybe it's because it's a static drawing, but she's looks kind of boring to me. Maybe the prototype model will make me more excited.

If they do Nautica, they had better do her in IDW style and not in this style. I don't like it, and I do not want to see Nautica done this way before she gets a proper IDW accurate form

Nautica would be kinda neat, I'm not a big IDW fan but I like her design and I know lots of peopple are big fans of her. I'd like her to get an actually good figure based directly on her IDW appearance first, but as these are niche figures I think it's hardly the worst thing in the world if they take creative liberties- nobody's going to be buying these instead of actually transforming Transformers after all.

First off, I edited the news item to include you as well as Powered Convoy. Secondly, Powered Convoy got the actual news credit itself because he'd sent the email to us before you posted on the boards

What makes this even worse, is that this image is just the design done by the artist, and not the final product that Flame Toys will release, even if it is their declaration of intent.

In my opinion the backlash for the Windblade model was they way the way that prototype was posed.You can see that in the new pics they avoided repeating that.
As long as they avoid the "super model" poses,everything should be fine.

Right now the outrage seems to be over them drawing her like she's wearing a bikini, even though she's basically been like that since 1986. There was another complaint about her being drawn with a bellybutton, but...

I hate that Lio Convoy is a Furai action though, that means like Primal he will be around $200, which sucks cause I would totally have bought him as a kit, but not for $200

I'm confused now as to what different ranges Flame Toys are offering as I thought Kuro Kara Kuri was the high end action figures and Furai was the model kit?

Furai is now split into Furai Model and Furai Action, the Action line being pre-assembled + paint versions of the kits, and aside from the very first one (Optimus) some of the plastic components are (suposedly) replaced with diecast metal.
