Now that I remember, didn't we have all this hooha when her design was first revealed a year ago? I mean this isn't new argument itself is it?

I don't think "People should be allowed to enjoy a silly robot kit without getting shouted at for being perverts" is far-right at all. Or if it is, then society has drifted far enough to the left that we need McCarthy back.
ring back McCarthyism because people criticized a toy? That’s some scary thinking right there man, and you wonder why you sound alt-right.
That Windblade is complete sex appeal, no one is going to buy that without having some kind of sexual motivation behind it. And I hate to say it, but dismissing the sexualization of a character who is popular to all ages and genders is how we ended up with Kiss Players.
There’s plenty of other media out there with sexy women and all that, Why does that have to involve Transformers as well?

Do you even know what the Alt-Right is? Because I suspect you don't. Regardless, I'm not Alt-Right.
As far as bringing back McCarthyism, I'm not suggesting it because of people losing their tempers over a toy, I'm suggesting it because there are people that think that anyone short of an out and out communist is "far right". Although if they are, then being far-right is obviously not that bad a thing, given that socialism has birthed some of the worst, bloodiest regimes in human history.

As I see things happening around me, the genuine "far right" is deep in a hole, hidden from everyone. Only the moderates VS the "far left" remain. And the irony is this current far-left is a repaint of the classic far-right.
It's baffling but eh, this is current year.

Though how we got from talking about model kits to this...
As it stands I wouldn't buy it, not when I've got Gundans still to buy.

I don't mind the sex appeal of this. But the ass looks out of place to me. Every other part of her is hyper detailed ... except her ass. It seems awkward.

It's the style I think, unlike Prime or Starscream who's basic design have alt mode bits on display, Windblade only has the wings, wings they may have thought were too big for posing purposes so went for a reduced look. As Krana pointed out she's even missing the tips of the wings which further alters the look.

The same with Primal. though I'm not hugely convinced on the contouring lines he's sporting on some area's that is supposed to invoke a "fur" like manner.

My main beef also.
Awesome fembot, but not a proper Transformers.
However, taking down the tweet smell like bending the knee to the puritan outrage mob.

Is this a bad time for me to say that I was a big fan of Hajime Sorayama when I was a kid? He's the guy who made all the artwork of sexy chrome robot ladies.
When I was a kid I wasn't interested in playing with the GI Joe figures or the hugely muscular masters of the universe figures. The he-man ones in particular felt weird for me to have. In my mind I thought "I like girls, shouldn't I have action figures of girls?" Of course unless they're dolls, they didn't make female action figures, and for all I know (I don't keep up) they still don't usually because "boys don't want to play with them." Yes my parents had to stop telling me to play with dolls and hand me back my he-man with his giant man nipples.
I mean these days my ideal body shape for women is "human". Fat, thin, muscular, tall, short, I really don't care, the body isn't the important part. But that doesn't mean that I still don't mind having figures of female transformers, even in their default thin waist, combat-heel form I like them (despite how much combat-heels irritate me). Generations Arcee, Classics Windblade, Animated Blackarachnia, RID Strongarm, BM Strika, RoTF Elita-1, Beast Hunters Ripclaw, it really doesn't matter to me.
Having said all that, if I miss out on the opportunity to have a Windblade figure that brings to mind the sexy chrome robots little me was interested in because you bastards don't like sexy, I swear I will sit here and be mad because realistically I can't do anything about it.

That is the one thing I find offputting about this design too. It isn't the fact that the female proportions may be considered "sexy". It is that the whole butt just looks weird, especially in that last pose. To me she looks like she either dislocated a butt cheek, or she was cooked properly so the meat is falling off the bone.

Save the left/right socio-political stuff for another thread. Let's keep this about the figures.
Good or bad, like it or hate it, everyone is entitled to their opinion. LEARN TO **** ACCEPT OPINIONS DIFFERENT TO YOURS.

They are to me, because I enjoy the Transformers characters more than the Gundam models. I'm a big fan of the IDW comics, and I don't buy third-party toys, so this lets me have licensed toys with those designs. I haven't assembled Gundam kits in the last two decades, but if you only care about the experience or see the finished products as equal, you may be better off sticking with Gundam.
I've constructed IDW Optimus and Autobot Megatron, and I have the Drift and Starscream kits unopened. I plan to repaint Starscream into Slipstream. IDW Rodimus is a definite get, and I'm hoping he comes in MTMTE and Lost Light colors. I have paint on hand, I may just buy two. I'm only going to get Windblade if she gets a redesign for reasons that are probably obvious by now.

Thanks, if I was more onto idw stuff I might have been able (or kinda forced) to jump in on them. Im trying to not go down the gundam sink hole so once I've filled out my ironblooded orphans/maybe give up on build divers I'm considering bee, hound, rodimus and windblade.

Pretty much this, I absolutely love the kits. I have the Attack mode Prime, IDW prime, Bee, Starscream, and Thundercracker and all 5 are great. I currently have SG Prime, Skywarp, Drift, and Megatron paid for in my Stack, and am awaiting the Devastator. I really love the kits.
I truly think they will do MTMTE and LL Rodimi, and I will get both
