For you guys that keep you Transformers MISB..
Do you care about the condition of your box, does that detract you from purchasing a toy. What if it was the last one and you really wanted it would you mind a bent corner, overly scratched up plastic or squashed box?

For me, yes. If I gonna pay MISB price, I want a near mint box/blister card. Iffy edges or scuffs on the window plastic doesn't bother me. But if the box is delapitated, I usually tell the seller to trash the box and I'll buy for LMC. If they don't wanna go that way, I don't buy it.

From ToplessRobot.com:• "Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is marginally better than sh***ing your pants, but it takes a lot longer." Very well put.

For me a dent on the side dont matter. As long as the "toy" is MINT that's all good for me. I dont care about scrachers either. The toy is only thing I care about. The box cant be open tho. I dont get open boxes. But a dent dont matter to me. And I can fix a bent card, that dont matter either.

The vast majority of my collection is MISB/MOSC. I only buy stuff at retail if I feel it's C9+. I skipped over a FAB Barricade because the card was damaged. I also skipped over a 25th Snake Eyes because of a damaged card.
I'm not looking to make a profit off my stuff, I don't sell any of it. I just enjoy my collection being MISB/MOSC. If I want to play with someone bad enough I'll buy 2.
I also trust bigbadtoystore.com and tfsource.com to ship me C9+ packages. I have never been let down by them.
When buying on eBay I always ask the seller and often request additional pictures. I haven't been disappointed so far.

Don't buy it, unless you want to open it, otherwise, don't buy a bent card version if you can help it.

I'm sure there is a difference between bent as in curved, and bent as in creased.

I would buy it and then wait to find it at another store in a better condition box. Return the bad condition box to the original store. If it is past its time for returns then I would return it to the second store. No harm done since the item was not opened anyway and kids don't care all that much about box condition anyway.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

For me it depends if the figure I am going to buy is:
1) Will never be opened
2) I feel it will be rare, and possibly valuable in the future
3) Has a special significance; a first release of a popular TF mythos character, or something similar
then yes I care about the packaging as well as the contents of the package. In the cases above the packaging will even take priority over the contents unless the figure is broken or has a major paint issue.
If it is a figure I will open up I usually focus on the figure inside and don't worry about the packaging. I usually toss it out and keep the card and instructions. And if the packaging is really bad but the figure inside is great, sometimes you can get it for less!
The only boxes I keep are a select few figures that I think may be valuable in the future and any figure imported from Japan.

If the card has a curve, I put it between 2 books and put more on top to help straghten it out. Even if the at the corners, I've fixed a few of my "curved" cards that way. Now creases...that's a whole nother ball of wax...
