I am among those who wishes they could afford the big guy. I'm having a hard enough time with the prices of some smaller TF's. Sadly, I don't think Fort Max is in my future. :sad:

I'm a proud owner of 1 mint condition FM. No stickers applied. Unfortunately, my threw out the box and insert when I unpacked an played with him. I've had him since he was first issued. My parents ordered him through the Sears catalog when he was released, thanks to my sister nagging "this is what he really wants." Thanks sis. Always on the look out for a box to put him back in, so email if you come across one. Thanks

I have a MIB Fort Max. 100% complete, no discoloration, and styro-foam and box are perfectly intact.

There are deals out there if you're patient. I picked mine up a couple of months for a great price.

Anyhow....no, I don't have B/FM. To me, it's the most overated of the G1's. Has less articulation than a Masters of the Universe figure, too big to display properly with most shelves, too small to fake your own death with, and costs an arm and a leg.

Plus I think he looks ugly. :-P

I won't even go as far as you, just a remake of a handful of headmasters would be good enough for me.

As for Fort, I don't own him, don't want him. He is awesome though.
As a kid in Japan, I remember when I 1st saw him in the biggest toy store there,
I was like holy crap this thing is almost as tall as me! It was displayed in the middle of the room surrounded by plexi glass. I was like is this thing really for sale or is it just a display item? I mean is it REALLY a toy you can buy and take home? I remember wondering about that, and if you could buy him he would be like as expensive as buying a real car :lol:

that is what went through my mind as a kid!

I do not own Fort Max. I was the oldest of 7 kids. A TF the size of a small child was not in my parent's budget. Of course, he is not in my budget today. I cna think of many, many other things to do with $500 right now. (Not that Fort Mx isn't really cool...)

Yes I do own him. I got him in the late 90's during the Beast Wars years and G1 stuff was fairly quite. I worked at a local comic/hobby shop and a guy brought in his TF's to sell. He had about 75 pieces and Max was in the lot in the box. The box was about a C-7 but the figure and the styrofoam inside was near perfect.

Max at the time in near-mint shape was going for around $600 according to the guide. Shop owner sold him to me for $250.
Hell the shop owner only offered the guy $400 for his whole collection and he took it. Shop owner cleaned up on that resale as I recall.

Picked up Brave Maximus three weeks ago and I am very happy with the purchase. City mode is just too awesome with this one. I do want a Fortress though since he is G1.

A few years back, when I actually had the extra cash to spend, I bought the Korean Brave Max online, the same day I ordered my Master Piece Convoy (but from a different store). Yeah, I wish I had ~$200 to blow on TF's in one day now.

I also own korean Brave Max. He was expensive ($330) but worth it. But no way I could afford Fort Max. I have some other hobbies that costs a lot.

Ah, yes!
My wife (girlfriend at the time) and one of our best friends went in on him for my nineteenth Birthday. Truly a gift that keeps on giving! He has a place of honor on the top shelf in my toy room, a majestic reminder of days gone by when toys were not banned because of the type of shards they broke into when dropped.

Just picked one up missing 3 pieces. Styrofoam insert, small laser and forearm cover. The latter one I just purchased. Picked him up for only a grand. Need to know if anyone has knowledge of anywhere I can find the styrofoam insert and small laser. I don't know where to go now. That's the peak of my collection. Just find missing pieces for all of my G1's now I guess.

I've got a junker Fort Max that I got during a convention a while back for about approximately $95. It's missing loads of parts and yellowed the heck out but at least it's got it's head (no Spike though). A part of me says that I paid too much for a junker but another part of me says that I was lucky to get it at that price. Which part of me is correct?

Have fort max and Brave max. Both mintish with ok boxes.

I am looking for Grand max.

Brave looks better than Fort, but Fort has gots lotsa stuffs that Brave doesn't.

And a big Honkin Sword...

I leave brave as a city (looks like a night lit city much better IMHO)

and Fort as the Bot...With space as it is im thinking of putting a board on his head and calling him an end table...

I own him as well. Was my present to myself upon graduating college and getting my first real deal job. He isn't fully complete (missing the little gun car) but has all the accessories for base mode and his head/spike. That was enough for me. Eventually I'll throw a new set of stickers on him when he finally is able to stretch his legs on display.

I'm also holding out hope for a reissue. That being said I'm lucky enough to have picked up a Brave Max MIB 3 years ago for $250. I love the city mode. All my G1 homage legends and WS Dinobots hang out on it on a shelf and look so good. Also Cerebros looks great standing with the four Autobot Headmasters.
