sorry about the delay in posting, ravage is getting close to being done, this is whats been done, styrene detail was added to the whole of ravage, this bit was very time consuming, as everything had to be repeated for the opposite side, layered in different places to add depth, deception symbols painted in purple and weathered for a more edgy look, the whole of ravage went into primer first, then a few days later top coat, matt black for the body, head neck and tail and paws, silver for the legs, then each part was then weathered to give my ravage an edgy vibe, , missiles also on silver and weathered too, an orange glow was added to the rear thrusters and side parts,im now working on the case part, for transporting ravage, but wanted to share whats been done so far,

THE DARKNESS HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!!!!!!
im not going to bore you with production pics, as you all know ravage needed transport, ive always liked the idea that the decepticons use the humans to there advantage, so with this in mind here is the case ive been working on, I'll be honest i had started to build one, then this caught my eye, and the measurements were spot on, so my gut feeling was to go with this, you had a sneak peek, so heres the rest, the decepticon insignia and claws on the outside gives a little clue of the beast inside, opening the case, nothing out of the ordinary, some top secret files, rocket plans, space cruiser(oh and my lunch)LOL!!!! A hologram to fool us!!
once in the clear, the hologram goes to reveal a folded up ravage, he stretches to get out, being folded up in a real pain in the ass!!! after a stretch his missiles and machine guns are attached, now he needs his mission details, mmmm, well, the back panel comes of to reveal a secret panel, a communication panel with his master, theres a pic with my finger pointing, theres a real sound clip of 15seconds of a jaguar/panther growing etc, talking to his master, the keyboard is in decepticon symbols, i filled the keyboard and fleshed out with some arrows etc, anyway once mission is done, he folds back up,panel goes back, hologram kicks in and hes out of there!! heres the pics guys.
all the best

thanks for the kind words of support, ravage took about 4 months to knock out, from the rough draft to a dummy mock up made from a sheet of styrene, so i could work out the transformation process etc, to what you see today, really please with how he turned out, thought i'd bring him up to date, and keep him in the g1 era too,

And you only started on this in February? Well, I can't wait to see what else you've pulled off by the end of the year!

My only criticism is that the teeth are white, and really long, and attract the eye way more than (I think) they should compared to the rest of this amazing piece. But please understand, I could never do this ever, and so my crit means nothing and it should be tempered and based on whether you are happy with how it turned out or not.

Fortress Rodimus wrote:Man those are so cool. great work. How long did it take you to make the ravage starting from the concept until final product?
Thanks for your kind words, i started thinking about ravage in jan of this year, i wanted a smaller project than prime, but one that would challege me too, i actually started late jan, early feb, so the whole process has been about 4 ish months, it was a challenge at times, bringing ravage up to date, but as the decepticons like to use the humans, and cassettes were no longer an option,i thought the case mode worked perfect, i never repeat my work, as a) it becomes boring, and b) it keeps each piece i do, unique, fresh and one off pieces.

thank you so so much, for not only thinking my work should be shown on the news section, but for the very kind words, you said about me, it means a lot to me, and its nice for a wider field to see my creations,
It was also heart warming to see kids and adults a like, having their pictures taken with prime and ravage at the charity event,
thank you again from the bottom of my heart
