The designer(s) put that there because kids would often lose the Headmaster unit of Headmaster figures, which not only meant that an accessory of the figure would be gone, but that the main body would become useless, who would want a headless robot?
So they put in that mini head so you would still have some sort of a head for your Omega Supreme should you lose the headmaster.

I'm torn between G1 knockoff Shockwave and G1 Takara Tomy Devastator to go with my G1 Takara Tomy Omega Supreme. G1 Shockwave has cool electronic gimmicks like Omega. G1 Devastator is his rival. If I can only get one which is better?

I've decided that I no longer like Omega Supreme, purely because of you duragrip, so my advice is to sell Omega off and use that money to buy Shockwave and Devestator.

If your serious about Energon OS then I highly suggest the Year of the Snake. It's far more impressive in many ways I feel. Don't be fooled by the size of his head, once in your hand I think you will agree it's a great TF. I also traded up Energon OS for Omega Sentinel...an even better looking version than the first. And when I got them side by side they are some bad-ass looking bookends.

I can't comment on prices but IMO both are worth getting...good luck in your choices dude! ;)^

I'm working on the specs for my custom G1 Omega Supreme. Do you have any ideas about features you would like to see on him? I think a good start would be to give him the ability to speak. It does not seem like it would take that much electronics. The functionality would be like those dolls that you squeeze and they say something different each time. I'm sure you have other ideas that I haven't even thought of. I'd like to hear them.

I think a laser could come out of G1 Omega's plasma blaster arm, with a sound effect to go with it.

Perhaps an led light mounted underneath his face-plate activated by an external switch could make him into a night light.

I'm still wondering what shoots out of his clawed arm.

Nope. The two never got the opportunity to fight each other.
