What other character could Takara use the G1 Ultra Magnus mold for if not Magnus or Powered Convoy? Does anyone have any ideas?

Yeah I kind of figured that you guys hold a lot back...it wouldn't be good for you guys to spill the beans all the time.
But I usually catch the toy spoilers from Blurrz. I think he already told me about that toy you mentioned in this thread. I remember everything he says about the future...
But I'm not extremely gullible with rumors. I very much enjoy watching everyone blow up when rumors prove to be false.
And I already know you mess with us. That's what you do best. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing depends on who you ask.
And hell, everyone's pissed on here. Getting mad is what the fandom does best. And Hasbro when an anonymous Mack truck pops up.

Gotta agree here. Yet- I'll say I would love to see a Dinobot Gift set, myself. I just don't think they have been getting enough love, except for Grimlock. I didn't personally like the animated ones ( in which, to my knowledge, they did only three of them). I do think it's time to see all of them together again. Plus, there are alot of G1s I would love to see reissued. I never got to have a Scourge or Cyclonus and I wish (this is asking alot) to see some targetmasters like Triggerhappy or Headmasters like Nightbeat.

I have a feeling we'll see something else.
Not just from a con either. Something to be like a follow up to the insecticons and perceptor.

Id like to see the Targetnasters and Headmasters getting some reissue love to be honest.the decepticon Targetmasters are all more expensive than the Autobots on Ebay and as far as I know all the Headmasters are expensive.

Yeah, I would love to see some headmaster lovin in G1 reissues or even in ClassiUniGeneraRevealDShieldverse (sp?) it would make sense for Takara since it is 2011 after all, when 'Headmasters' was set. HEAD ON DAMNIT!!!

I just always like it when they give us something new, and with each passing year true minty complete G1 figures are harder and harder to find.

But if you're patient Ebay can reward you sometimes. In the last 2 years I've gotten G1 Scourge, Metroplex, Shockwave and the Battlechargers all in great nick.

Reissues I'd like to see are:

Scorponok (I have him and everyone else shoukd get a chance to get this great toy)
Black Zarak
Greatshot
Micromaster Rodimus
Bumper
Acid Storm amd the purple air warriors from the G1 Seeker mold
Crosshairs
Hosehead
Triggerhappy
Squeezeplay
Fangry
Horribull
Laser Rods with Electro made from proper plastic (Again i have them ad love them)
Quake (like Scorponok, one of my first Transformers and a great toy)

I'm pretty sure....

...that it's not going to happen. I'll stick with the originals please

agreed. This would make my year.

Headmasters would be nice (Scorponok) but there are plenty of other characters from earlier in G1 that I'd like to see get reissued first: Dinobots, Devastator, Shockwave. I also hope that they finally get round to reissuing Sixshot as was rumoured early last year.


Either way what a great start to 2011:

Jazz, Tracks, Megatron, Soundwave and Grapple in January,
Kup, Blurr, Wreckgar and Perceptor in February,
Scourge, Wheeljack and Rumble+Frenzy in March.

AND we've got Masterpiece Rodimus to come!
(I didn't order the TT version as I have no interest in the trailer so waiting for Hasbro's).

As well as loads more awesome official and third party releases in the next 11 1/2 months if the Battle in Space comic rumours are true and the G1 reissue rumours are true!!
2011 already rocks This could be the best year EVER for Transformers collectors.

PS I live in Japan so I was using the United release schedule, I know you guys in the states got the RTS figures months ago.
Happy to say that It's only the 3rd week of January and I've already got 2010 Predaking, United Megatron, Soundwave, and Cliffjumper to kick off the year.

but honestly im trying hard to own the complete family.it amazes me how much Apeface,Snapdragon and the decepticon Targetmasters go for.The Autobot Targetmasters are easier to come by and Im lucky enough to still own Aimless and Caliburst from childhood so that should ease the price of Misfire and Triggerhappy.

I think ultimately it is going to come down to what they think will sell, as fanboys (and girls) we can get excited over almost anything.

By the way, has anyone looked at the prices of the TRU reissues lately? Even non-popular ones are often going for $40+.

Yeah, that's brutal, but not unexpected. If you're patient, you can get some of them for less on ebay. I saw some Grapples that shipped for less than $15 late last year.

I would love for Takara to continue with the Encore line and reissue some figures that haven't been done recently. And let's have a break from G1 Prime, Jazz, and Megatron reissues.
