Well, I found a 360 at a thrift store the other day. My Launch Model 360 is dead in a box in the basement, like many an ex-wife, so I tore its standard-ass laptop hard drive from the overpriced enclosure and slapped it into my Thrift60. Spent a good half-hour or so trying to find a factory-reset combination that worked. All in all, everything went better than expected.

Figured I'd replay Halo 1 and 2 before tackling ODST, 3, and Reach. Also, can Silver members NOT use the Halo Waypoint or something? All I can access when I load it up are five videos. No "Intel" news section, no career information, nothing. What the crap?

Halo: Combat Evolved [PC]:
Doing a Street Fighter run. Using the Plasma Pistol as a primary weapon for its PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH attack and its charged-up hadouken. Basically, I'm just screwing around.

Boarded the Truth & Reconciliation. On my way to save Keyes, that glorious bastard. I still don't get why his Anniversary action figure doesn't come with his trademarked pipe.

6 hours into Shadow of the Colossus, Ive slaughtered 10 of them. The third one was a pain in the ass, and the giant turtle was hard as well, but I get by well enough. It's the giant bird that was the most fun so far. I hope to fight another flyer. But I have a question. what are these lizards for? They have white tails, and when you kill them, you pick something up (the tail I think, does he eat it I wonder?) and they appear most often around save points.

If I remember right, they're supposed to increase your health or grip or something.

FINALLY, after so many attempts, I finally beat the Wily Capsule! It only took like two Energy Tanks, his weakness and the Super Adapter, but I still did it!

DC Universe Online:
Having recently watched the Green Lantern movie (I liked it, don't judge me) got me wanting to play as my Green Lantern (I was already juggling two or three other characters), GL Melvin. Got him up to level 24, and also I started learning how to chain GL abilities together.

Being a Green Lantern, by the way, is totally awesome. It costs $10 and was worth every penny.

Unfortunately, no. Green Lantern for the heroes, Sinestro Corps for the villains. The only real difference between them is color. A few of the other Lanterns do show up; The Orange Lantern played a part during a Christmas event (The Larfleeze who stole Christmas?), and the Red Lanterns show up as the main enemies of an Alert instance.

I also found an investigation marker practically in the middle of nowhere (Investigation markers are usually only found inside or very close to mission areas, this one wasn't) that, when clicked on, spoke in a scary, booming voice, the Black Lantern Oath.

It made me pee a little.

So, what pre-set powers do you get to choose from when you start DCUO, and is flying fun? or is it really limited? What power is the most satisfying in the long run? and i I do this on the PS3, can I link with people who play on PC? I doubt it highly, but its a thought. Alot of questions I know, but its SO CLOSE to finishing the loading process, that I should be playing for the first time tommarow.

So, what pre-set powers do you get to choose from when you start DCUO

You get movement powers (Flight, Super Sped, and Acrobatics) as well as 6-9 actual powers. (Fire, Ice, Gadgets, Sorcery, Nature, and Mental, while Earth, Electricity, and Light/Lantern are available through DLC) Also a number of weapons. (Bow-and-arrow, brawling, dual pistols, melee weapons, including single, two-handed, and dual-wielding, martial arts, hand blasters, rifles, and staves)

You get one of each. So...yeah, you have some options to start with. You can also Iconic powers later on, basically a version of a power or ability used by an iconic character, like Batarangs, Superman's heat vision, Wonder Woman's lasso, etc. At later levels, one of them is super strength; you can throw cars at people. Yes, it is as awesome as you'd expect to throw cars at people.

and is flying fun?

Let me put it this way: Hell yes. I mean, you won't become some kind of supersonic jet (if you attack or are attacked, you're forced to move more slowly, though this is regardless of movement type) but it's a lot easier to control than super speed or acrobatics.

and i I do this on the PS3, can I link with people who play on PC? I doubt it highly, but its a thought.

Unfortunately, no. No cross-platform play. More than a few times, people in PC chat have asked if anyone is playing the game from their PS3, so I guess this isn't common knowledge.

Eh? Man, there is something wrong with your internet. Even on PS3, it took me only a few hours to download and install the game. You should have been done twice over by now.

I kept clocking out due to impatience (Wanting to play another game ) But I'de put total download time at about 3 1/2 hours total, wich isn't bad. My guy's got flight, fire powers, superman's his mentor, duel pistols and a badass demonic look that can't be put into words. Anyway, some guy (a villain) Came to the beach and beat thecrap out of EVERYONE. We eventually brought him down, but not easily.

That's why I prefer PvE. Villains will still show up, and sometimes they might interfere with your missions, but at least you don't have to fight them. If you want, find the Phase Shifter in the central hub of the Watchtower, that will switch you over to PvE, and back if you so choose.

Another thing? I found a rainbow, leading into a pot of gold, with a little leprichaun dropping massive gold coins all around. Odd?

Not very. It's Mr. Mxyzptlk and the St. Patrick's Day event. It's supposed to be ending today. Thank God. It's like, he could have been funny, but they really half-assed the writing. Though in-universe he's supposed to be exactly as annoying, so, who knows.

Anyway, Ive made and deleted a few since then, finally settling on the MaroonMarauder. He's basically Batman combined with the Green Arrow, But he's really awesome. He's got a Matrix style trenchcoat, but it's sand beige, and blood red, same with his baggy pants. He's got a quiver and a (you guessed it) A bow. His head is basically the red skull. He uses gadgets, Batman as a mentor, and acrobatics, wich is basically like playing as alex mercer. All and all, my favorite combination. He's a keeper.

Still, you have to hang your head in shame, as you can never create the red-clad sex-dynamo of Lady Awesome. Well, you could but you'd just be copying me so it doesn't really count.

EDIT: Because of her, guys keep hitting on me. Each time, I laugh a little harder. At some point, I will likely laugh myself to death, and it will be worth it.

Been running missions as Lady Awesome, trying to get her Combat Rating up. Which requires less fighting and more modifications and buying new armor bits. Which requires fighting.

Hmm.

Lady Awesome is also proving to be little miss popularity. A dance party has formed around me a few times on the Watchtower. Even if one of them started by one guy just kind of...pressing against me. (On the other hand, a great place to name-drop Sue Dibny!) It's still hilarious, but now it's starting to confuse me a little. Seriously, what gender am I?!

I made this today, just because I wanted to, and because I didn't have an Earth-power user despite the fact that I bought the DLC. Yes, she's covered in tattoos, yes, she isn't wearing pants or shoes, yes, she makes Starfire's outfit look conservative. No, I am not keeping that domino mask.

I'm glad God Hand is just downloaded, otherwise I probably would have thrown it in the microwave, smashed it with a hammer until it was dust, put it in a blender with vegies to make a shiny salsa, loaded it into a burrito, and fed it my worst enemies parents while I forced him to watch. That's how frustrating this game is sometimes.

I'm at the beginning of the final level, having just beaten the leader of the four devas.

Had a 1/2 hour to kill so knocked out some quests to turn in. Returned the horn of Jurgen to the Greybears, earning me the final level of unrelenting force. Dropped off some valuables at my place in Markarth and then decided to proceed with the quest to get a chunk of Mehrunes razor.Found a dungeon before that so I think I'll go exploring.

So, about a year ago, my bitch sister borrowed out Wiimote and nunchuck. Would you know it, the nunchuck never returned. Then, a few months ago, my bitch sister borrowed the Wii itself. This time, the goddamn sensor bar didn't return. (The Wii is literally unusable without it) The past few months, each time it's brought up, she claims she's trying to get a new one, or that it's in the mail, or that she just forgot to bring it. So, today, I reasoned with my parents that enough is enough, it's never coming back. And that we should simply buy a new sensor bar and nunchuck and then bill my bitch sister for it.

I love it when a plan comes together.

Went out to Gamestop. (I had already planned to go there to buy something else) Bought a new wireless sensor bar and nunchuck, totaled about about $40 on her dime! While I was there, I had planned on getting the PS2 version of this, but since we were getting the new parts for the Wii, I should get the (admittedly slightly inferior) Wii version instead.

Because a friend of mine will not stop bitching at me to play this. It's cool, though, it's cool. Restored Kamiki Village, sun included, and even tore up some woman's turnip patch just so some kid would say nice things about me.

God works in mysterious ways. I like to think Amaterasu wholeheartedly believes in that as well.

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Dusted this off so I could put some time into it. With the ocean temple recovered, went back to the spirit tower and obtained the fire rail map. Attempted to hit the fire temple but the path is blocked by lava. the Gorons suggested I get something really cold. Returned to snow land and found an anouki who could make Mega ice, but he needed to be transported to a sufficient water source. Transported him safely. Now just need to wait.
