GTA:Sa was the first GTA I'd actually played, so when I tried playing GTAIII, I just couldn't get into it.

Yeah, I can imagine. But GTA3 is the first one I played and I keep going to back it.

How are you enjoying Star Tropics? I hope it's easier than Star Tropics II: Zoda's Revenge. I have that for my NES and every time I play I feel like punching a baby.

I own both Startropics games on the NES and love them both dearly. And honestly, I never felt the 2nd game was that difficult. I can't wait for Startropics II on the VC.

Crysis
With no way out of the cavern, went deeper. Too bad that only took me into the heart of an alien spaceship and war factory. Better run! Oh wait, the gravity just turned off. Um... FLOAT AWAY!
After rebounding my way around the ship and fighting off weird partially translucent aliens (with jaws like the Predator). After much time getting lost, managed to find where they were creating an entire army of walkers, flyers, and crawler units. Should I try and take this entire base down singlehandedly? HELL NO! RUN FOR DAYLIGHT!
Escaped the ship and made it outside, only to find the tropical island completely frozen. The area around the ship is encased in a spherical field which protects it and cools the internal temperature. I tried to find survivors from my squad but they were literally icicles at this point.
One of my guys from earlier had survived, but his suit was damaged and he was freezing fast. Made a run with him from heat source to heat source until we finally escaped the sphere and made it to living marines.
A jeep ride to a crashed VTOL to rescue a civilian later and we're home free.... maybe not. A Walker unit decided to follow us and that thing does not go down easy. Running from this thing, we finally made evac. Too bad our pilot got capped. Guess who's flying the ship now/

You're just better at Star Tropics than I am. It's the boss fights that piss me off. I'm still stuck at the one in the Sherlock Holmes world where you have to jump and throw stuff at it without falling into the water. Damn perspective!

GAME.OVER!
This part annoyed the hell out of me. There's a glitch in the game where the TAC cannon won't lock onto the final boss. Apparently I qualified for the glitch. grr... I went online and downloaded someone else's savegame and loaded it and the battle worked perfectly. Go figure.
Anyway, defeated the alien exoskeleton and then the warship, completing the game. Next up, returning to the island for Crysis 2.

Made it to Shecola, but can't get in because they only allow women. Tried to get the fortune teller to help but she had lost her crystal ball in the ghost town.
Went to the ghost town and worked my way through many false exits to finally reach Maxie, the queen ghost. After defeating her and draining the ghost town's lake, found the crystal ball. Returned the crystal ball to the fortune teller who then dressed me like a girl so I could get into Shecola.
Inside the castle, learned the way to the mountain hermit via the secret tunnel. Also got a shooting star upgrade to my yo-yo.
Crossed the secret tunnel and just entered the mountain. Time to climb.

Still unable to get past Raining blood on Hard or Before I forget on expert. In anger, decided to go back and raise my star ratings for other songs. On Expert, managed to get all but 2 3 stars up to 4 stars. Quite simply, I'm getting better at the songs I can already do but worse at the ones I can't. Not quite what I was hoping for.

Game A is pretty boring. Game B is surprisingly fun. My favourite mode is Trick Shot, though, and I'm glad to see that they worked a pseudo-homage of it into the Duck Hunt-esque game on Wii Play.

Started chapter #5. the island is surrounded by Shallows which prevent my ship from passing. There is a straight between the two halves of the island but an old Spanish Galleon is blocking the path.
To cross the straight, I have to move that ship. After consulting with a gabby Parrot named Peter (which required me to circle the island to find a fisherman willing to give me a worm), learned the secret way to open the path to the ship.
After another arduous journey, reached Captain Bell's Memorial and played a giant set of piano keys to open the path to the caves to open the ship. Now to actually start the action portion of the level.

Does anyone else find the musical clue oddly questionable after so much time? "Do me so far, do me!"

About 30% through the game. In Portland. Finished the 20 Fire and 20 Vigilante Missions. Completed all the Unique Jumps and Rampages. Almost done the Import/Export and the 2 remaining Hidden Packages in Portland require access to Staunton. I'll keep doing the Ambulance missions to get the health but my main concern right now are the story missions. Finished all the work for Joey, met Salvatore, took Maria to the party. Now, it's time to bring some pain to the Triads and shut down the SPANK operation on the boat.

2 posts without a "giggedy"? What's wrong with you?

Having rebuilt my computer, I've had to reinstall a lot of games. here's the progress to that end:

Crysis
Reinstalled. Set the settings to Very High, and played through the beginning up to the first Korean Jamming station.

Call of Duty 4
Reinstalled. Set the settings to very high, started game on Hard difficulty and played through the first level and the assassination/intro video.

Warcraft III
Reinstalled not to play but for multiplayer purposes.

Warcraft III:Frozen Throne
See Warcraft III

Unreal Tournament 2004
Reinstalled. I could already run this game at peak graphics. This is just in preparation for the next LAN party.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.
