Went to the messed-up town in the west. Went to the Earth Cavern. Explored. Grinded (ground?). Didn't finish exploring it, but reached the 3rd basement. Returned to town to use the Inn.
Decided to explore the overworld. Headed west (went around the world, so technically went east), reached the town of Crescent Lake. This town is beautiful, meaning that their prices are probably damn high. I have about 90k saved up, I'll see how far it goes.
When I'm done, I'm heading back to the Earth Cavern to kick some ass. Got my whole party to Level 28, I think.

That's the problem. After you fight the Vampire, you have to go meet a guy in a different cave, then do a few more floors of the Earth Cavern, and then you fight the Fiend of Earth, Lich.
