Just realized I still had this installed on my computer so decided to pick up where I left off. Unfortunately, where I left off was the most difficult level in the game. It's a flashback to the 70's and having just failed to assassinate the arms dealer Zhakaev, now running for my life with my captain. We've reached the landing zone but now we're trying to survive against waves of enemies until our helicopter arrives. I've never been fond of "timed survival" missions so this is my least favorite part of the game. Currently still trying to last more than 2 minutes. I can survive against the bullets but the number of grenades seems a bit excessive. I'm hearing the grenades landing faster than I can count so I'm getting blinded by explosion-blown dust before some mystery grenade I don't get a warning about somehow kills me.

Finally managed to survive the LZ defense mission by taking advantage of a glitch. There's a secret door that opens with one wave of enemies and it's where the laptop with encrypted data is located. Luckily, the enemies never bother to look in there. I sat out the entire battle and let my captain take care of himself. Once the helicopter landed, made a mad dash to my captain, picked him up, and carted him to the helicopter, making my escape.
Flashback over, now to modern day. My mission: Reach the LZ and defend it until the helicopter arrives. oy...
Luckily, this mission has a glitch as well. The helicopter doesn't care about the timer and appears as soon as you reach the LZ. I simply high-tailed it towards the LZ, hopped on the helicopter, and waited patiently for my under-fire teammates to arrive.
Aren't I a great soldier?
Next mission was a joint-op between the USMC and the SAS to capture Zhakhaev's son. Managed to track the little bastard down and corner him on a rooftop. Too bad he felt suicide to be a preferable option to capture. Whoopsy...

About time. Been dying to update.
Call of Duty 4
GAME.OVER.AGAIN! After the terrifying difficult flashback assassination escape mission, the rest of the game was a breeze.
Having lost Zhakaev's son to a misfired bullet to the brain (whoopsie), decided to make a stand by infiltrating and bringing down the operation by attacking them at a nuclear missile silo the enemy had taken over. What could go wrong? Um... besides getting there too late and having two ICBM's launched in front of me. Time to hurry.
Invaded the base, got into the underground controls, shot a lot of guys, reached the control center, then aborted the missile launches. While I was inside, Zhakaev made an escape. Our team hotwired some trucks and chased after them in a fun but highly scripted chase sequence. Too bad we crashed hard when the bridge ahead of us collapsed.
In a daze, most of us were killed but a helpful distraction gave me time to Shoot Zhakaev in the head, thus ending the game. Even playing through a 3rd time, still fun
Grand Theft Auto IV
Lots done so here's the basic summary. Arrived in America, found out my cousin was a dirtbag but still protected him. Made a girlfriend out of his girlfriend's friend (and got invited inside after date 4). Ran jobs for said cousin, for Vlad, and for Little Jacob, earning Roman and Jacob as friends.
When Vlad made the moves on Roman's girlfriend, defended my cousin's honor by chasing down and killing Vlad. Unfortunately, Vlad may have been a jerk but he was a jerk with connections. His bosses immediately tried to kill me and Roman. Luckily, Vlad was a jerk with connections. His boss didn't like him so I got off the hook provided I fun some missions. Currently running missions for his boss and associate.
While I'm loving the game, I think the install process is a pain in the ass. Just to play the game, I had to install Games for Windows live and the Rockstar social club. I have no interest in the multiplayer and would rather not have had to install pointless programs. I prefer games where I can just log onto an open server and join a random game. No sign-ups necessary and easy for a quick deathmatch. sigh... at least I can relax by watching Republic Space Rangers in Roman's apartment.

Phoenix Wright: Justice For All:
BEATEN! Finally went back to finish this. I can now safely say, The Butler did it...
...Well, he wasn't really a butler, he was an assassin who had disguised himself as a butler for a while.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl:
Not really progress, but I did make a handful of custom maps. The main two are mostly death traps...let's just say I've seen level 3 computer controlled characters get 999% damage no less than four times in the span of two days.

No surprises here. Well, actually, quite a few. But in GTA, that's no surprise.
After running some jobs for my new mob bosses, found that one was becoming increasingly unstable due to drug abuse. His partner, very convincingly saddened, asked me to assassinate him. I did so with glee. When I went to collect my money for the hint, the 2nd mob boss betrayed me by turning out to be friends with a different mob boss who Niko had fled his home country to escape from. Aw... crap.
Managed to survive the trap but the bosses escaped. Quickly collected my cousin in a mad dash to escape to safety. Though he was safe, his home and business were destroyed by inexplicable fires. Luckily, his girlfriend was able to find us a quick hideout in a different part of town. Time to rebuild.

I freed the hero of will, but I'm surprised at the number of glitches there are in this game. My character's wife has vanished into thin air and isn't coming back and the daughter is just standing in the corner with the baby icon over her head.

I relapsed again...
Sold my Jaywalker and Haskell based on a misunderstanding (Most of the prices in the store are only for parts that vanish after 7 days, to get the same parts that won't disappear, it costs extra), but then bought a Mekhi (A basic mech, but not a bad one), and the brand-freaking new Sidewinder. (Which is a damn fine looking robot)
So now I have:
Bastion, with Sentinel Booster
Planet Eagle-Cs x 2
Crimson Edge-As x 2
Ultra Dancing Blade skill
Sidewinder with Maverick Booster
Beam Spitter-Bs x 2
Particle Blade-Cs x 2
Dancing Blade Skill
Blast Helix Skill
Mekhi with Sonic Boomer Booster
Tommy Striker-Cs x2
Blitz Rocket Launcher-C
Death From Above skill

It's hard to accurately describe progress in a game this linear but here goes:
after moving to Broker, ran jobs for Mallorie's friend Manny. He got the credit for destroying a ring of drug dealers, I got the cash. Fair deal. Ran some other jobs for him, mostly involving killing drug dealers.
Mallorie's other friend, Elizabetha sent me on some rough missions, mostly ending with the police inexplicably showing up and me having to hightail it. I think Elizabetha's got a squealer.
Oops, found the squealer. Turns out my girfriend's a fed. Oy... This won't look good on my resume.
Next up, Elizabetha's friend "PlayboyX" needed some assistance. Ran a quickie job then full-scale assualt on a construction site under lockdown by striking Union leaders (translation: MOb bosses putting the squeeze on the site's owner. ). They're no longer a problem.

Chrono Trigger DS:
I finally get this. Needless to say, it's spectacular. The touch-screen isn't forced on you; if you want it, it's there, but you don't HAVE to use it.
Just made it to 600AD.
EDIT:
Fallout 3:
Jesus, this is so reminiscent of Elder Scrolls it isn't funny...thought the idea of Elder Scroll's styled gameplay in a post-apocalyptic future is a great idea that they pin down spectacularly.
Hooked up with the whatchamacallits...the guys from the box, with the funky helmets? One of them might be the narrator, Ron "Hellboy" Perlman. I can't get past the Super Mutant Behemoth, though. I always end up in the open, and he always smacks me just hard enough to one-shot me.
Still searching for my dad, who happens to be Liam Frikken Neeson!
Super Mario Galaxy:
Despite having nearly the same control scheme as Super Mario 64, (The back-flip, side-jump, triple-jump, and long-jump are all retained and unchanged) SMG seems a bit easier somehow.
Just beat the first Boss, than giant robot guy who seriously reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus.
Grand Theft Auto IV:
Ran some missions for Vlad, and some missions for Roman. Not much else, really...
Except that I'm training to kill people with this murder simulator! Because we all know Grand Theft Auto can train you in the proper loading, aiming and handling of weapons, and is highly realistic! Or at least realistic by Bugs Bunny's standards.
...Oh, wait, Wacko Jack-o got disbarred...now who am I supposed to make fun of?!

Another round where the open ended play makes summarizing difficult. But here goes. Ran jobs for Elizabetha's friend PlayboyX, who then introduced me to his old friend Dwayne. The two were close once, but have had a falling out while Dwayne was incarcerated. Long story short, I had to choose between the both of them. I chose Dwayne, killing PBX in the process but gaining his loft as a safehouse.
Elizabetha's having problems of her own. My other friend Manny made his move to bust a drug dealer (namely, elizabetha). Elizabetha was in no mood and capped Manny and his cameraman, leaving me to dispose of the bodies.
On a side note, my former girlfriend is a fed and I'm now forced to work for her unnamed boss to stay out of jail. Funny how a group dedicated to stopping crime has no trouble employing a wanted killer to perform assassinations.
Finally, ran more jobs for the police chief (I think) to protect his reputation. Set up a job interview with the next target, a laywer in town. However, I seem to be stuck in a glitch. Timewise, I'm repeating the same day over and over so I can never get to the interview date and when I finally did, the map didn't bother telling me where the interview was at. WTF?
Another round where the open ended play makes summarizing difficult. But here goes. Ran jobs for Elizabetha's friend PlayboyX, who then introduced me to his old friend Dwayne. The two were close once, but have had a falling out while Dwayne was incarcerated. Long story short, I had to choose between the both of them. I chose Dwayne, killing PBX in the process but gaining his loft as a safehouse.

Fallout 3:
Got to the GNR station, and met Three Dog, the cool dude who is essentially Blaster in the IDW comics. I gotta go run some errands for him, and then I can get more info on where dear old dad went.
Metal Gear Solid 4:
...Where to begin?
Dropped into the Middle east, Where Liquid Ocelot (Liquid has become the dominant mind since MGS2) is supposed to be. Hooked up with with Rat Patrol, let by a significantly more badass Meryl, and a significantly more soiled Johnny Sasaki. After dealing with the Frogs, I witnessed the Beauty and the Beast Unit, a bunch of pyscho-bitches in power armor, and walking references to bosses from MGS1 and MGS3.
Absolutely loving the new camera system; I got right into that immediately. Most of the controls are the same, but weapons require you to aim your weapon first...which is something I always did in MGS anyway, so I can't figure out why it bugs me.
EDIT: I can't believe I forgot, while I haven't gotten a cardboard box, I have gotten an oil drum that serves essentially the same function. Although Johnny was taking a crap under it, which I assume hurts the re-sale value...and if I don't have a piece of cardboard covering me by the time I kill Ocelot, I'm gonna be pissed!
Devil May Cry 4:
Finished the tutorial and first mission, both of which required me to fight...Dante! DUN DUN DUNNNN! The new guy, Nero, isn't so bad. He's basically a more brash version of Dante as he was in DMC3. And he's voiced and mo-capped by Johnny Yong Bosch!

Call of Duty: World at war
started the game and played through 3 missions as the Americans in Japan, learning why everyone loves using the flamethrower.
Switched over to the Russian campaign, working as a survivor of a massacre, worked with my CO to get revenge on the German commander. After sneaking through the german-run city, was discovered and had to run like hell. After getting smoked out of a building, was pretty much a corpse until some other Russian soldiers saved my ass. Joined them in an assault on the German stronghold, flushing out the German commander. Managed to snipe the bastard, getting revenge but then found myself under attack by German tanks. Time to run again. Took a leap-of-faith dive into the river.

God, I was waiting for someone else to post so I can do this:
Metal Gear Solid 4:
Yes, there will be spoilers. You have been warned.
In short, killed Laughing Octopus and Raging Raven (Who turned out to be total smokin' hotties under that armor), met with Raiden, who has become a near-perfect replica of Grey Fox (Minus the crazy...the irony is that the patriots wanted to make him into a controllable version of Snake, instead they got Frank), and was given a robot body by Dr. Madnar, from the original MSX/NES games...who I didn't know was still alive.
Met with Naomi, who got freaky hot since MGS1, and who seemingly got it on with Otacon (The nerdy guy gets around--His step-mom, Sniper Wolf probably, AND Naomi? Impressive), except now she's been re-kidnapped by Liquid Ocelot.
Johnny Sasaki and Meryl are totally getting together...my God, I bet the shippers didn't see THAT one coming.
Also, the patriots have been explained in the entirety: Everyone from MGS3 got together and decided to do all the things The Boss would want to do. Major Zero started being a dick and thought all of that involved subjugating the will of humanity, causing pretty much everyone else to split off. Sigint was killed by Ocelot (Also a Patriot) in MGS1 (Donald Anderson, HA!), and Para-Medic was killed by Grey Fox. Big Boss created Outer Heaven to stop all that bull, but Snake, born as the result of the Patriots wanting to have their very own Big Boss, kind of hurt all that.
And now we're going back to...DUN DUN DUNNNN! SHADOW MOSES!
Devil May Cry 4:
I gotta say, this feels way easier than DMC3. Currently in Fortuna castle. Met with "Gloria" who is totally hot, and Trish...okay, I read ahead. Can you blame me?
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess:
MGS4 and DMC4 have been eating up all my gaming time like...game...time eating...things...that I haven't been able to focus on Zelda...I wish I didn't have to sleep.
Saved the kids from the monkeys. Next up is my first adventure into the Twilight Realm. (I know because I played the GameCube version)

I passed the Atlas level, which I thought was insanely well designed. And I crapped my pants when I realized Atlas was voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan.

Metal Gear Solid 4:
BEATEN! Yeah, it was short...but my God, it was so satisfying!
I mean, it had everything! Action, romance, mystery, comedy, and drama! It had beautiful ladies and badass men! It had giant robots and epic battles! It had moments with so much suspense you don't want to blink, and moments so sad you almost want to cry! I mean, it's like the perfect movie, with gameplay! And man, it was satisfying. My hat goes off to you once again, Mr. Kojima.

Alright, the 24-hour limit has passed...did people stop playing games after Christmas?
Grand Theft Auto IV:
Vlad is dead...and he earned it. Now I'm working for his boss. (Vlad's boss hated him, that's why I get to live)
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess:
Forest Temple! Just got the Boomerang.
Chrono Trigger DS:
Saved Queen Leene, and by extension Marle. Now I'm going back to my own time, where I'm certain I'm going to get a hero's welcome...oh, wait, did I say hero's welcome? I mean full criminal trial.
Transformers: The Game (PS3):
As the Autobots, I have to fight Shockwave next. As the Decepticons, I'm currently Barricade...and slacking off. I mean, if you had to do somewhat frustrating missions, or be a twenty-foot-tall death robot/police car, with no repercussions for destroying everything the developers made destructible? Because I'd go with the robot.
Devil May Cry 4:
Just nabbed Yamato, which you may or may not know as the Katana Vergil used in DMC3. While I can't simply use it like Dante would pull out Alastor or Rebellion, I can use it in the Devil Trigger it grants. So yay.
Made it to a tropical jungle next to an arctic wasteland. (Don't think about it too much; your brain WILL explode) Met with Dante, but he didn't seem to want to fight too much.

Call of Duty 4
As the russian army, continued to push into German territory with no lack of bloodshed or bloodlust.
Back as the American army, currently trying to push my way through trenches to burn out the enemy's mortar pits
Grand Theft Auto 4
Got a call from Mallorie that Roman had been kidnapped. found the place they were holding him and killed every thug in the room before returning Roman home.
Finally got that job interview. Wasted no time in capping the interviewer (I had a feeling he was going to turn me down.
). Ran more jobs for the corrupt cop and even more jobs for my friend Packie over on the first island. Turns out Packie and the cop are brothers. Ran small jobs for Packie culminating in a bank heist episode which was difficult but still very fun. Netted a quarter mil off of that job. Was introduced to Packie's system and dating her on the side. Now running jobs for Packie's even more psychotic brothers, including a carbombing and an assassination of enemy mob families.
On the side, ran some side jobs for on-the-street "friends" as well as just plain driving recklessly.
System says I've put 27 hours into this game so far. I believe it.

Transformers: The Game (PS3):
On the Decepticons side, I'm on the final mission on the second level, where I have to fight Bumblebee, again. I lost the first time; Bumblebee drove off, and after transforming to chase him, I ended up getting smashed into a wall by an entire parking lot of police cruisers, and by the time I was able to back out, I lost Bumblebee and the mission.
Devil May Cry 4:
And now I'm Dante. HELL YEAH! Up to I think Mission 17. Just beat Berial as Dante, getting the Lucifer weapon.
I also got the gun Pandora...the most awesome thing ever. It can turn from Rocket Bow, Rocket Launcher, Mini-Gun, shuriken-esque weapon, laser cannon, and massive mobile weapons platform, and back, and can even one-shot many enemies. It's described as having 666 configurations, and when not killing things, it turns into a totally sweet briefcase, with an ominous golden glow inside. (Quenton Tarantino would like to have a word with Dante)
Legen of Zelda: Twilight Princess:
Beat the Forest Temple. Now I'm a wolf again.
Chrono Trigger DS:
Now I'm in the future. Alright, it's post apocalyptic, and bleak, and people are holed up in tiny make-shift cities while real cities are swarming with monsters...I think I may go play Fallout 3 later.

Damn you spambot! But also thanks for bumping the thread.
Devil May Cry 4:
BEATEN! And everyone goes home happy, even though Lady only gives Dante and Trish a very small roll of cash. (Probably $80 total) Can't wait for DMC5! Perhaps Nero will join the gang?
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess:
I have to do the Lakebed Temple. I was not looking forward to this. It was not my favorite dungeon ever.
Chrono Trigger DS:
Made it back from the future, now we have to kick some fiend ass in the past. Yeah! Let's start some paradoxes! Up yours, Causality!
Fallout 3:
Made it to the museum...only to end up in a field full of Super Mutants. Yeah, I died at least three times. The last time, at least, I was one bullet away from winning.
