I'm about 40 hours into DragonQuest 8. It's like the oldschool DW games I play on my Nintendo but with killer graphics and better character interaction! I defeated the evil Dhoulmagus, whom I've been tracking the entire game, but he's back as a demon. The internet says I'll have to play about 50 hours after I kill him. fun

I gave it a rest to focus on homework, but restarted Gauntlet: Dark Legacy instead. It's so much easier now that I know magic determines shot power, not strength. (Plus the sorceress is sexy)

Found and saved the master of the Dojo, but Mariko was killed before I could saver her. The master is now running my sword training. Meanwhile, the bar is safe again and in the control of the security boss, who handles my firearm training still.
New mission: Save the six members of the Sanro kai from Tokai's villa.

Cleared Mission #10. It's getting hard. It's all about getting seeker missiles and properly using cover. Knowing the maps helps out a lot, too.

Completed the first world and gained a pure heart. the gameplay's a little too simple for my tastes, but the in-jokes are making me laugh uncontrollably (fraktail's bluescreen message garble was priceless)

GAME.OVER. Caught up to Tokai's mansion with me doing the run'n'gun while Otori worked the sword-weilding samurai route. Caught up to Tokai and ended up protecting him from Otori. Tokai's crew is defeated, Otori and family survived, and I've rescued my girl.

9% through Level 2. Conquest Mode FTW.

War World: Tactical Combat [PC]:
Cleared a few more missions. Found a good mech configuration that I like. I'll keep improving this one rather than starting from scratch each mission. It's a shame they don't tell you the map/enemy type or count of the mission when you're loading up your mech, it would really help when deciding what gear to use.

Did a little more in UC mode. Did a little Ramba Ral here, some Garma there, and stuff like that.

I've been messing around with Gallery Mode, especially since I found new love for "Launch Video" mode. It let's me see mechs launching from places they don't normally show in-game. (Jupitris, Argama, a Salamis Kai, Radish, Alexandria, Adhumla, and a lot more) Plus, it shows a lot fo character interaction, though not as much as I'd like. (Henken isn't as weird as he should be when talking to Emma)

Completed Mission 18. My computer kept crashing in this level so I turned the difficulty down so that I could finish it before it would crash. Crappy idea, but excellent results!

started the game and worked my way to the bridge of the shield helicarrier (taking out Scorpion along the way).

Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Met with Nick Fury and he detailed the current problems with the ship. Worked through until I met Winter Soldier and Radioactive man (there's a nuclear winter joke in there somewhere). Took them down, chased after them, and took them down again.
Afterwards, new problem with the missile launch system. Turns out bullseye was there and causing havoc. Sent him to bed without supper (five-accross-the-eyes style).
Finally, Fin Fang Foom appears out of nowhere and we sent him packing (courtesy of an AA gun on the bridge).

I can't say I'm doing well, though. in the course of this mission I lost Captain America, Spider-woman, Mr. Fantastic, and Spider-man.

Yeah, I know. Apparently, some .ddls are screwed. However, it might be yet another heat-related problem. I'll figure something out.

Working through the bitlands (world 3). Made it all the way to 3-4 but was low on health. I used the return pipe to go back to Flipside thinking I could just go back to 3-4. Nope. I have to hike back through 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3. D'OH!

The jokes just keep coming. I made my way back to the nerd's castle and found his collection of DVDs, comics, and toys. Found a trapped pixel named Carrie.
Peach ended up facing him, at which point he gets nervous about talking to a girl and brings out a dating sim. Yes, the game turns into a dating sim. Luckily Peach gets impatient from it almost immediately, destroys it, and then it's a boss battle.
Collected the third pure heart.

Playing Quattro's "Amuro Joins AUEG" storyline, and I even unlocked the "Operation Appolo Prevention Successful" for that line. I also unlocked the Bolinoak Sammahn for Quattro. Now, should I kill Four Murasame, or help people kill Four Murasame?

I lost the game. I couldn't recover hal.dll and I didn't save my game before so I had no points to load from. Oh well, I just reinstalled it and I'll be gaming again in the next few days.
