The Saboteur
Finally moving the story forward. Found that my old race car was stashed at a German depot. Collected it, with extreme prejudice.
Afterwards, found that the daughter of the scientist I rescued was being held at a local hotel. Did my Spider-man thing to sneak in and get her out, but not without setting fire to the entire place and facing off against the terror squad soldiers for the first time.
Got her out safely, but the Germans tracked down the resistance HQ and I had to fend off waves of enemies, ending with a tank. It blowed up good.
Got my VIPs to a different base but found that in the earlier hullabaloo, One of my friends was captured. The rebels refused to mount a rescue so I bolted.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:
Completed the Shivering Isles. Sorry, Locust, I know how badly you wanted to be the God of Insanity. But, I beat you to the punch. Don't worry, there's always next Era.
In other news, I tried the demo for Mass Effect 2, and I finally answered the question of whether or not my computer can run it. I'm sorry to say, the answer is...a resounding yes, actually. It really surprised me, it ran a bit smoother than ME1 even. Well, now I can finally bring my hot space lesbian back out of retirement.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
More exploring which led me to an energy tank and more missiles until the beacon hinted that one of my lost devices had been located. Returned to Dark Aether and went exploring the lower mazes of the Bog to find the Grapple Guardian waiting. Blowed him up good.
Got my grapple beam back and used it to find some missile expansions and other goodies, including another of the Torvus bog keys. The 3rd was located by beacon but in an area that can only be reached in via Power bomb (which I don't have yet) or via portal up a spider ball track (no spider ball yet either). Conundrum. Guess I'll go see what my grapple beam gets me in the Agon and temple areas then.

The Saboteur
Get the feeling we're moving towards endgame at this point. Okay, recap.
To find my captured friend, placed wiretaps on German lines. From there, found that she was about to be executed. To bypass security, infiltrated a Zeppelin dock, boarded a Zeppelin (called by a friend using the tapped lines to issue false orders), and dropped in on the execution. Sniped most of the guards then went down to ground level and protected my friend until antoher friend drove in with an armored truck. We hightailed it out while I manned a gun turret. After escaping, returned to HQ and resumed plan A.
Took my place in a grand race with a racecar full of explosives. Won the race then bailed, letting my car blow up the winner's stand and send a signal to the resistance to move. Unfortunately, the German's raided one of my safehouses. Turns out a supplier was a traitor. Got to the Belle to find Vittore dying and everyone else gone.
Vittore's death I can handle, but this also means no more strip club for the rest of the game.

Dragon Quest VIII [PS2]
Brushed off the cobwebs of this title after its 5 year retirement. I had logged about 50 hours into this epic RPG...then quit playing it. It appears I left off shortly after obtaining a ship, because the enemies out on the open sea are still somewhat difficult. So, right now I'm just leveling up, sailing around, and trying to remember what exactly I was supposed to do next.

GAME.OVER!
Went to the catacombs and took the back way in, fighting through Nazi's in the caverns to rescue my friends. One got trapped in a cave-in and had to be put down. Also found that the defector I rescued earlier was captured again. Flew into Doppleseig and rescued him and his daughter again, as well as blowing up a critical piece of technology which made the entire place blow sky high.
From then on, the game was in riot mode with the French revolting against the Nazis openly. Still had a mission to finish so I drove to the Eiffel tower and scaled it, eventually meeting with a broken and demoralized Dierker. Had the option to kill him, but instead let him jump off the tower to his death. And that was the game. Post-credits, went to the top of tower and high-dived into a nearby pool just for the fun of it.
I truly enjoyed this game. Not the best I played but for some reason I just never found a part I hated. Everytime I saw nazi structures on the map, I just had to destroy them. And somehow it never got old.

Whoa, it's been a while since I last posted here. Well, may as well put in my report:
Metroid: Other M
Finished the game all the way, over 10 hours and with an item collection rate of 44%... I'm so ashamed of myself. Then again, the game was pretty tough with its focus on speed and action.
If you want my opinion on the game, it's a worthy addition to the Metroid family, everything a Metroid game needs is in there, down to the *CENSORED* Countdown Timer. My only *real* nitpick is the amount of areas with an instant Game Over, most of which have to be dodged with sense-move. What I consider the strongest points are the bosses, both in fighting and their ties with earlier games (Metroid II, Super Metroid and even Metroid Fusion). Especially the two final bosses surprised me, and it takes a lot to do that with me.

Long time no see. While I'm here:
Sonic Unleashed (Wii)
I'm pretty far in this game, but I'm stuck at the fourth Night Stage of Adabat. I *hate* fighting those big trolls and those cowardly wizard-types that can stun me. I hate it even more when they come one after the other!

If you're curious about my Ratings, I seem to average out on B on Day Stages and on A on Night Stages. Not surprising, I do that with every Sonic game

Mass Effect:
BEATEN! Again! Aiming for level 60 and...huh, level 53? But I completed EVERYTHING! Every side quest done, every enemy killed! How the hell am I 7 levels short?!
Oh, well, it seems killing enemies with that rover/tank cuts experience gain in HALF. So, every time I killed an enemy via Tank, I was only getting half the experience I would have gained had I killed them on foot. Crap! Well, lessons learned for a future playthrough.

Hey, don't worry. There might be a sale on it at Christmastime, or when the sequel comes out, some other Steam deal. You know, "pre-order the second one and the get first to play now" or something. Hang in there!

Sonic 4 (PS3)
Bought and completed pretty quickly, found it a little disapointing, need to pick up the emeralds still, but its a case of motivating myself.
Resident Evil 5 (PS3)
Completed the single player, unlocked infinite ammo for 3 weapons and have 29/30 BSAA emblems. Just started playing through again on veteran as Sheva.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Aftering wandering aimlessly, finaly found out how to get the Dark Torvus temple key 2. Turns out it was in the room above where I thought was a dead end. I just never bothered to look up after my last boss battle.
Anyway, with the key in my possession, unlocked the dark temple in Torvus. In there, fought a Chykka in its larval, adult, and corrupted forms. Earned the Dark Visor for my troubles.
Took the energy from the dark temple and returned it to the light temple. 2 down...

Hey, don't worry. There might be a sale on it at Christmastime, or when the sequel comes out, some other Steam deal. You know, "pre-order the second one and the get first to play now" or something. Hang in there!
What are you, dense? Are you retarded or something? Who the hell do you think I am?

I have been waiting all weekend to make that joke and no one is taking that away from me!!
Followed Boles' whiskey-breath trail to find Gordon...only to find Boles dead. Well, he was a douche anyway. Now it seems the Riddler has hacked into my communications channel, so I can hear him be an arrogant douchebag. Lovely.

As long as it's Riddler in the bowler hat and suit and not Riddler in the spandex, I'm okay with it.

You don't get to meet him face-to-face, though his profile picture is suit and bowler hat.

GTA IV [PC]:
First time playing since my harddrive crash. Restoring saved games was a bitch. I had to boot into Unbuntu and screw around until I figured out what to do.
Finished all of the Jumps I can until I unlock Jersey. Took out 50 flying rats.
Borderlands [PC]:
Singleplaying, reached Level 28 as my Lilith who I've named "Datassassin." Doing odd jobs in the Rust Commons East, levelling up a bit so as not to get raped TOO hard by Krom.

Ages 25 & Up, comics with ball joints of steel. Updated Mondays.

And I made the same joke to Tweezy. And everyone makes that joke to everyone else. Because nothing's funnier than pointing out Frank Miller's mistakes. Except for pointing out Joe Quesada's mistakes.
Mass Effect 2:
OOPS I DIED.
Good thing Cerberus, who I recall making enemies of (I killed a lot of their people) decided to bring me back. After escaping from their facility which was blowing up for as-of-yet unexplained reasons, I got a brand new ship, the SR2 Normandy. And damn she is gorgeous.
First things first, went to find a Salarian scientist, Mordin Solus, as well as a Turian vigilante, Archangel, at Omega Station. Went for Archangel first because I read spoilers and it's Garrus. Killed three mercenary groups with him, then took him back to the Normandy because they kind of exploded half his face. "You were already ugly as hell. Slap some facepaint on there and no one will notice."
Next I'm going back for Mordin. I hope to make him sing.
Also, I'm downloading the freebie DLC packs. Zaeed, Firewalker, weapons and armor. I'm definitely going to get at least Kasumi, Overlord, and Lair of the Shadow Broker when I get the money...and as soon as I figure out the exchange rate on xbox live points. (I'm not playing on 360, but the DLC downloading site uses the same basic system, with the same basic what the hell do these number even relate to?)
