Lunia [PC]:
Realized tonight that the issue I've been having with my Family (basically a tiny in-game community of 6 people) is a known issue which started after the last update. Looks like we're just going to have to put on our sunglasses and deal with it.

Working on getting some of the stats-increasing beach-themed items for some of my characters. Haven't actually got the sunglasses yet. My flash-kicking elf archer reached Level 31; got her the 4th Degree Fishing Rod.

Started over because I missed some stuff. Now, I have a freaking M60 machine gun. A blacksmith (Who I have reason to believe was played by Richard Dean Anderson) made it out of a paperclip and a shotgun.

"Wait, an M60 in a fantasy setting? That doesn't make sense!" It doesn't have to, it's a freaking M60 machine gun!

I love the smell of magic missile in the morning.

Champions Online [PC]:
Improved my Duke Nukem character's costume, got him to Level 9. Interrogated the weapons manufacturer.

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project [PC]:
Cleared Episode 3, collecting all of the Nukes.

GTA IV [PC]:
Got all of the Unique Jumps, Most Wanted jobs, and Hidden Packages that I can access without unlocking Jersey. I'll do the Under the Radar and "survive 5 minutes on 6-star wanted level" at the same time by flying the chopper into Jersey, under the bridges, and then loiter in the air until the 5 minutes are up. Then go out win a blaze of glory.

Vin Diesel Wheelman [PC]:
Best 98-cents-plus-tax I've spent that didn't give me an STD. Got to the point where I'm supposed to do meet the Australian informant, but I'm doing Side Missions first. Doing all of the first Rampages available.

Bulletstorm:
I got it Saturday and beat it the next day. That night, I started playing at 7:00pm, I wanted to see something on TV at 8, but the next time I looked at the clock, it was 2:30 in the morning!!! Guess what I didn't get to do that night. :-(

I beat it the next day. I felt kind of awesome for beating it that fast, but sort of cheated for the game being short. Oh well, you know what that means? I'll be able to play the game multiple times without getting bored! It takes me like 19 hours to beat Mass Effect 2 at the minimum (including all the DLCs) and I've beaten that over 21 times, and I'm just now getting bored of it.

I'm planning on either getting Killzone 2 or Dragon age 2 next. Unless some guy in my school lets me borrow KZ2. Then, I'm getting KillZone 3!

Nah, I am hereby declaring that his sig is exempt from The Game. it cannot, directly (I.e., viewing it) or indirectly (Mentioning it, remembering it, etc.) count as a loss.

Magicka:
Back up to Chapter 6. Doing things solo because in Multiplayer I'm very, very likely to lose my M60, and this thing puts some of my most powerful magic to shame. Made it to Grimnir, and learned from the Magicka Wiki (Doubles as a strategy guide!) that the Nullify Magicka can dispel his own Magicka, most of which are lethal if not dealt with quickly, including a ghost-like version of himself which likes to spam a very deadly beam attack. (Lightning+Arcane if I'm not mistaken) or a personal shield called SAFE (Arcane+Lightning+Fire+Shield, with the default controls, basically just type SAFE) which ignores most, if not all of his magic.

Then the game crashed on me. BIG problem: You cannot resume a game mid-level, you have to start at the beginning of the mission. Fortunately, it's not a particularly hard mission, except for the boss at the end.

It's over sized. Max sig size is 500x300.

Magicka:
"Beat" Grimnir, but Vlad (Who is totally not a Vampire) realized he was too damn powerful, and sent me back in time. Now I need to find Fafnir, so he can help me wrangle Grimnir's demonic buddy into the mortal realm, and kill him with extreme prejudice. What could go wrong? (Except everything)

Well, two days. Don't we have some kind of rule saying we can double-post if this thread goes dead for two days? I think we do.

Magicka:
Met "The Count" who is Vlad who totally WAS a Vampire! He lied to me! We fought (Even though a Future version of Vlad said we should just talk, but, you know, heroic mutes and all) after a series of references to Castlevania. Then, I had to team up with Vlad's friend Death (Another Castlevania reference!) but first we fought, again becuase I couldn't simply talk it out with him, Vlad is getting annoyed by this.

Now, I'm hunting down Fafnir, who is supposed to help me kill Grimnir. And...hey, a hilarious reference to Ski Free! ...Hey, the yeti can kill me in one shot just like in Ski Free. You know, there's a line where a reference turns from hilarious to hair-tearing rage, and they crossed it.

Overlord:
Playing this again. Beat the Wizard, now working on the Abyss Gates. Cleaned out the ones in Spree and Evernight, now I'm trying to decide between doing the Golden Hills Abyss or Heaven's Peak Abyss. Also I'm at 76% Corruption (I went with the choices Overlord II said was right, that is, staying with Rose and choosing the Elves over the big bag of gold) and goddamn those shoulder spikes are big. I'll probably replay this just to see how big they get at 100%. Pretty large, I imagine.

Borderlands
Really just faffing about on the side quests. Opened the paths to Old haven and Janistown. Met some guy in the middle of nowhere (literally), and collected a second vault key piece from a guy named Krom who has decided not to breathe anymore. Clearing out my sidequest list before moving forward. Considering I just doubled my workload by reviving the nowhere bounty board, this will be a long task. Up to level 28. Love the Siren's phoenix skill but it's hampered by the flame effects blocking my view when I have to aim down. :BANG_HEAD:

Donkey Kong Country Returns
Working through world 8. Cleared through 8-4 and collected all puzzle and KONG pieces so far. Nearing the end.

Minecraft
Building, duh! 8)
Current projects include expanding my home, building a house in the sky, excavating an entire beach to collect sand, and using the sand to create glass to create an underwater walkway across a river.
Am I really the only one here who plays this?

Aliens vs Predator
Picked this up recently but haven't been focusing on it in lieu of Need for Speed and Borderlands. Survived the first mission and made it to the queen, who I fried. Still trying to survive but there's a predator lurking.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Crouching and sniping while on fiyuh is annoying, but the worst is being unaware that you're on fiyuh while waltzing around near volatile barrels. I've died a few times that way.

Of course, modifying one of your .ini files to enable third-person camera helps a lot. And lets you check out dat ass, assuming you've also adjusted the FOV enough. Repeatedly tap the forward button for her slow-ass strut. Or maybe I should say slow ass-strut. You know what I mean.

Which reminds me, when I did a big co-op session of Borderlands recently, Tweezy managed to kill Krom before me and the third guy could even get to him. Anticlimactic, but I was impressed that kind of thing was even possible.

Overlord:
BEATEN! The Forgotten God is dead...but now the Overlord is trapped in the Infernal Abyss. Well, at least he's gained the subservience of the Wraith, and is now the de facto ruler of Hell. That should keep him satiated. Unless Overlord III involves a break-out attempt, which I really hope it does. Evil always finds a way...

Overlord II:
Conquered Nordberg, which extreme prejudice. Subdued as many citizens as I can for now, then melted the frozen lake around Nordhaven (With "assistance" from it's citizens) so I can get the ship. Good news: I got the ship. Bad news: Everlight has now been submerged from the thawed-out lake. My bad.

that's got to be hell on the forensics team. "This makes no sense. our evidence shows she was clearly on fire BEFORE the gas drum exploded."

Borderlands
Cleared the side quests and moved onto the story. Also killed a god that the bandits worshiped. When I killed it, I didn't even realize it was anything but an ordinary scythid. How very anticlimactic.
Anyway, was asked by Taylor cobbs to kill his brother, the leader of Jacobstown. Went to collect my prize and found to be a trap. Was ordered to go kill the leader of Jacobstown (now taylortown), Taylor Cobbs. Ah karma.

It's Jaynis Cobb. It's a reference to the FireFly episode Jaynestown.

Final Fantasy IX:
I started a new game a while ago because Memoria was kicking my ass and I wanted to try things from the beginning to do stuff I missed. Currently grinding like hell before I do Cleyra, even though I should be strong enough to beat it. Probably not going to over-grind like I did in FF2. ("Just a little more, I don't want to get my ass kicked" I said. Then the game was literally me kicking record-breaking quantities of ass)

Is something going on? I got a topic reply notification email 7 hours ago, but when I clicked the link, it got a "you're not authorized to see this forum lol" message, and when I found the thread from the "my posts" page, the only new post was from the 14th of March which I saw already...

(Cue The Twilight Zone theme)

Beyond Good & Evil [PC]:
Got it for free from GOG.com from that contest of theirs, and unfortunately, it's a crappy port job and doesn't even have a way to invert the mouse's y-axis in 3rd person. And it's a third-person game. So it's completely unplayable to me. Talk about a broken PC port.

It uses DirectInput, so third-party mouse-inversion tools (like AutoHotKey scripts) are useless. I had to get xpadder, map the controls to my wired 360 gamepad (since BG&E's customize controls tab of the setup is limited and doesn't support gamepads), so now I can play it at least. Though I would much rather have been able to play it with my mouse and keyboard like a normal PC game. Come on, Ubisoft.

Resident Evil 5 [PC]:
Speaking of Ubisoft, at least BG&E's PC version isn't as bad as the completely inexcusable RE4 port. Urgh... The lazy port job is more of a nightmare than anything featured in the game.

Anyway, back to the Gears of Tomb Raiding. Er, make that RE5. Playing with a friend. Got to the 6-3 boss fight. Y'know, I'm really disappointed with the direction they've taken the franchise. Sure, it's more "accessible" as a third-person shooter with the ridiculously over-the-top action/dialogue/etc, but I really wished they'd go back to their mystery/adventure game roots once in a while outside of re-releases, you know? That and, since they're obviously conscious of their franchise being tongue-in-cheek, stop marketing it as legitimate horror.

I have two problems with the PC version of RE5:

1. You can't have laser sights without a game pad, which isn't even really a problem.

2. It's very unlikely we're getting the DLC. Including an extended mission of hunting down Wesker (From the flashback) as a total throwback to the original game. Such as Jill being trapped in a room with a descending ceiling (They don't make references to sandwiches, though) and close-ups on doors when you open them just like the old games. Also, Chris complains about Spencer's "obsession" with hand cranks.

It also makes Barry and Rebecca available in Mercenaries mode, so that's cool.

EDIT: Though it's been hinted, albeit barely, that we might in the future.

The laser sight of your partner DOES show up, which is great. Especially when playing with a friend, so you can point out stuff to them.

"Dude, boomstick ammo for you."
"Huh? Where?"
(aim at it so he can follow the laser sight to see where it is)
"Eff yeah, thanks, man!"
etc.

As for bonus content, I don't think we'll get it. The Gold edition or whatever it is? The stuff with Barry? Yeah, I don't think that'll hit the PC, and neither will SSFIV and I doubt MvC3 will either. But I'm really glad that Capcom still actually makes PC games at all.

Was sent on a mission to 'overcome a challenge', which was vague and unhelpful. The challenge was a Rakk hive which, while imposing, was ridiculously easy to beat. Just sniped from a cliff while dodging Rakk. Got Key piece #3. was sent after piece #4 only to find that I killed an innocent (so to speak) person who did not have the key piece on him. :-?
Was betrayed by a partner who now had the entire key piece and the Crimson lance is on the move.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Yeah, my buddy and I got super geared-up for the Hive fight. Then, he shot it a few times with a sniper rifle while I hailed a some salvos of rockets at it. It went down like a white girl in Harlem. I was really expecting more of an intense boss battle.
