Got my Bounty Hunter up to level 11, got to Dromund Kaas. Ready to kick ass there.
Punch a Kell Dragon to death for me, eh?Shadowman wrote:ALSO, I looked up the specifics on a certain HK-droid's appearance in the game. Long story short, Revan has the same voice actor as Kyle Katarn. He also has a purple lightsaber. Everything about him makes an eerie amount of sense.
That got my interest. Only one voice actor was able to play Kyle more than once; the others simply were not capable of handling all of the win. Is he voiced by the Outcast/Academy Kyle?

Shadowman wrote:Yep, Jeff Bennett. I don't know much about it but from what I'm seeing, Revan doesn't play nearly as much into the game as you'd think. Republic-aligned, the mission is to team up with the Force Ghost of Meetra Surik, the Jedi Exile from KOTORII, to release Revan from the stasis the Sith Emperor has kept him in for 300 years, whereupon he teams up with HK-47 to restart the old HK-factory to build a droid army to destroy the Sith.
I want to bear that sentence's children.
(The Imperial mission involves shutting down the factory then fighting him)

There's a book that not only finishes off their stories, it also does a pretty good job of tying up loose ends from the games.

Really not interested in that book. The Exile got a raw, raw deal. Sadface.

If Obsidian hadn't been rushed to finish it, had they been allowed to finish it on time, it would have been amazing, it would have totally blown the first game out of the water. Instead, LucasArts wanted an unrealistic deadline, and the game ended up being an obviously unfinished game with a few really good moments. (Darth Nihilus and Darth Sion were two really damn awesome Sith Lords)

My sexy Miraluka Consular/Shadow is rampaging around Taris, which still hasn't recovered from Malak blowing the place up just to kill Bastila. (He failed! Also Bastila had a cameo earlier in the Consular's storyline) Next, though, I plan to focus on my Jedi Knight, because I recently learned his voice actor is David freaking Hayter.
Kept you waiting, huh?

That's how I roll. Help 'em and hurt 'em at the same time.

Please, Shadow, Don't Hurt 'Em.
Sorry, I had to. Just don't put on your parachute pants.

FINALLY got off of Taris. I hate that planet now. I didn't like in in KOTOR--a lot of walking around and backtracking--and this game didn't make me like it any more.

Yeah, that sort of thing pretty much killed KOTOR for me.

Y'see, I thought you were talking about an NPC here, so I didn't get the joke. Then I read your next line.

Remember, never trust a bartender with bad grammar or Nar Shaddaa will be your grave.

Taris was bad, but Manaan was the worst. Though Manaan in kind of funny when you think about it; fighting was so sparse because the local government demanded neutrality, and fighting would cause either side to lose the main source of kolto, which is also the basis of the planets economy. Then Bacta comes along...

An NPC on Nar Shaddaa also hit on me. Though, to be fair, he's justified.

I like to extend that rule to "Don't trust anyone on Nar Shaddaa." Even in KOTOR2, every moment you spend on the planet involves being mugged and backstabbed. Often both at the same time.
