greatful.
1. Exactly why did the "les enfant terribles" happen? If the big boss wanted sons, why not shack up?
BeastProwl wrote:2a. In MGS 3, is that the same Ocelot as we see in later games? Sure, he's young in three, but I could have swore he said his name was "This" and not the "That" Ocelot's real name is. He said it different in MGS 3. In later games its...Shalashaska?
BeastProwl wrote:2b. Another thing about Ocelot, at the end of MGS 3, him and snake left on, well, lets say good terms? I mean, snake shot him in the face (or at least I did). But then he gave him that smokin' gun solute and jumped out of the vehicle, never to be seen again. Same guy?
BeastProwl wrote:3a. Metal Gear Solid 1 aside, in any other game, do they ever REALLY get into more detailes about the "les enfant terribles?"
BeastProwl wrote:3b. If Solid Snake is Big Bosses son (one of them anyway) Why did he send him to destroy himself?
BeastProwl wrote:3c. I realize of course, that he could have sent him right into grey foxes trap in part one, but I havn't finished it yet, still all spoilers up until MGS 4 are welcome, as the NES games arn't really good at telling the story, so a little explaining is welcomed here.
BeastProwl wrote:4. Were does "Ghost Babel" Fit into all this? Right after 1 I assume?
BeastProwl wrote:Sorry about all that, but I'm to lazy to google all that crap. I tried on SOME of it, but couldn't get to far without venturing into spoiler littered territory. It was like tip-toeing through a minefield. Luckily for me, Shadowman of someone of equal knowledge may have a MINE D. to help me out. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes on the chore of multi-quoting that SOB ^

I own 1, 2, 3, and 4 on PS3 at this point (I intend to get Code Veronica, as well as trying to get my hands on RE0, just for completion's sake) and 5 on PC (Though I might buy the Gold Edition for PS3 when I get the money, if only for Lost in Nightmares and Barry and Rebecca in Mercenaries)

Made it to the Island. I never hated Ashley; as far as escort missions go, she's far from the best ever (Protecting Tychus while he pilots the Odin in Starcraft II) and she's far from the worst. (Most escort missions) She's...okay.

The guy who played The Blob in X-Men Origins is playing Barry in the next Resident Evil movie. I just thought you should know that. Jill is also coming back, so...here's hoping for something about sandwiches.

If the RE6 trailer is any indication, the testosterone supplements he was taking during Degeneration have kicked in, replacing his RE2 & 4 femininity and Degeneration trying-to-hard-to-badass-ness with borderline androgyny.

I kind of thought that was his gimmick; he always tries to be a badass ladykiller but always seems to fail. Whereas Chris is basically just a man-sized bicep, Leon is a normal guy who's trying to be a super badass, with the predictable results.
And I was thinking about your comment on Ashley's overt sexualization, and it made me realize that as far as females in Resident Evil go, Ashley is just tasteful. The only prominent female who hasn't gotten blatant fanservice in the games is Shelly, and she's going to be an adult in RE6, so it's just a matter of waiting and seeing what's they'll do.
And the trick to not having Ashley yell for help: Don't let them get her.
1337W422102 wrote:As for Chris, I assume that was just steroid abuse due to PTSD after RE1 and Code: Veronica. "I've... seen things, man. If you went through what I went through, you'd punch a boulder, too. Hey, by the way, you got your tickets to the gun show?"
1337W422102 wrote:Shelly's back? And she's an adult? Uh oh.

Shadowman wrote:From the sounds of things, she's going to be able to fight this time around. Like like Ashley, more like Sheva. She's supposed to be a companion to that guy-we-don't-know-who-he-is. I want to believe he's HUNK.

BEATEN! Hit Saddler with a Rocket Launcher (As is the fate of all Final Bosses in this series) then got the hell out on a sweet jet ski. Remarkably similar to the final sequence Devil May Cry, considering the influence both games had on each other. (And that Devil May Cry was a prototype for RE4)
Starting Separate Ways. Skanky dress? Check. Cameo by Wesker? Check. Getting my ass kicked because Ada's starting equipment sucks? Check.

BTW, re-reading your story about the big bosses sons. I'm still a bit confused. Zero did it against his will? I maybe have mis-read a bit, but that's how it sounded to me. and I'm half asleep...

Shadowman wrote:2. Ada's equipment doesn't suck, in fact, it's better than Leon's. (Most of it comes already upgraded) The enemies have had a huge health buff, though, such as a sizable group of Ganados all surviving a well-placed incendiary. It's not all bad; the semi-auto rifle has a damage rating of 15 and I was able to kill an El Gigante with only a could bullets and a lot of knifing.
