Agreed! I'm not really a fan of the Botcon one at all. Even though Universe Galvatron and Scourge don't have the same purple, at least they are in the ballpark of correct colouring. I would love a Scourge to chill with those two on my shelf.

I'd love to see Titanium Scourge have his mold tweaked a bit and released in plastic as a Deluxe, it was durn near perfect.

Thrust is really nice, but move over cos Drift is badass! I really hope we see more figures in that sort've style from now on. Maybe a nice Blurr figure, maybe a Kup, and Red Alert would indeed be a great idea. The Henkei one is nice but too damn hard to come by for a reasonable price.

It's also about damn time we saw Jazz, Trailbreaker and an official "universe" Wheeljack. Energon Downshift/SL Wheeljack does the job great but I want a more updated version with better articulation now.

I wonder if there's any character who would be a 'bad' choice for a Classics/Universe/Generations version. Yes, I'd buy a Scrounge. I'd buy a Boltax, for Primus' sake!

Unlike some, judging from previous posts in this thread, I have no problem equating Generations as Classics 3. Universe already explored other lines with the Inferno, Cheetor, Dinobot, and Hotshot.

Regardless of how you view this line in that respect, it has no effect on its awesomeness. I already have Henkei Thrust, so I'm not interested in the Hasbro version, though I am glad others now have an opportunity to get the character. Oddly enough, I'm really looking forward to Chainclaw. That character holds sentimental value from my childhood. Straxus is a MUST HAVE.

As for the aforementioned possibility of Soundwave, I find Music Label Soundwave makes a great stand-in, but I'd buy a Generations Soundwave if he was particularly awesome.

...i'd buy Deceptitran

Will there be a Chainclaw in Generation 3? I thought there would only be one in the power core combiner series.

I want a proper Classics _________________ (you fill in the blank).

I'm pretty happy with what HASBRO has attempted with many of their original molds, and their repaints of Cybertron, even Energon molds. Plus I am running out of room.

However, I would still like to see the return of the base/cityformer, but I don't see it happening.

As TF-Con is not an official convention (as in, sponsored or otherwise licensed by Hasbro), I don't see that happening any time soon.

Eh, well almost. In honesty I'm not overly fond of that mold, the backpack is just too big for it to be perfect. And considering Jazz's status in transformer history, I think he deserves a brand spanking new, awesomely articulated classics body to call his own.

Or a remold of Prowl ;p

Have you considered getting Titanium Hot Zone, the Target exclusive? That could be a good stand in until we get an Ultra Hot Spot(Zone) or combiner Defensor.

Having found this thread, I'd like to discuss something about hte upcoming Generations line.

From what we're seen/heard/been told/know, we'll be getting the Gentei! Gentei! version of Thrust released in a show-accurate color scheme, a new figure of Drift in a form that is accurate to his comic design, new figures of the War for Cybertron Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee that are all accurate to their game character models, and a new figure named Carkmount, who is designed to resemble the G1 Marvel Comics character of Straxus.

With the possible exception of Darkmount/Straxus, these new Generations figures are very show/game/comic-accurate in design.

What I'm getting to is, based on these accurate-looking figures, could the Generations line be what fans of show-accuracy have been waiting for?

Before, Classics and Universe just released modern redesigns of classic characters, instead of making them better resemble their character models with current toy technology.

But with what we've seen thus far of the upcoming Generations line, could it be a line that takes older characters (whose original toys differed from their character models) and gives them new figures based on their cartoon appearances?

(One can dream, right? :-B)
