For the most part, whatever figures come from this line, I'll be buying. I loved Classics/Universe, and this looks like it's already shaping up to be a worthy successor to those lines.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

If memory serves, this was one designers wish and not anything approaching hinting at being a possibility. I'm not saying it won't happen, just saying it wasn't official. Hasbro must know people want a G1-esque SW.

I hope they make Blurr out of Drift....

or maybe not... if I finally get a IDW/G1 version of Blurr, who knows what's going to happen... Maybe I'll go on a Transformers hiatus. Maybe I'll go on a binge and spend hundreds on Transformers... Maybe I'll sneak into Mkall's house and grab all his exclusive figures. So many possibilities, all that I just realized I could do without a repaint of Drift...

From what i'm reading here, only Thrust, Drift and Darkmount will be part of the Generations line or Classics 3.0 give or take. So Sea Spray and Payload will be part of Hunt for the Decepticons lineup right? If so, where does HailStorm fit in? Generations or Hunt for the Decepticons?

All i can say this, this year i'll will be picking up very few Transformers compared to last year and the first part of this year, for example, like Mindewipe (just awesomeness) Bludgeon (just Badassness) and so on. From what i've seen for the Powercore combiners im not impressed with, but some of the other stuff seems ok like the Generations line up and Sea Spray from the Hunt for the Decepticons. After it's all said and done, most likely that i'll be picking up more 3rd party stuff from FP or Mastermind creations.

Not only that, but i strongly believe that Hasbro didn't put much effort in anything new thing this year, and Hasbro is waiting on TF3 which that will be their bread and butter for brand new molds!!!

Hahaha, nice.

Drift is a must-buy for me simply because he looks awesome. I don't care what people think of the character. Straxus, I never really knew anything about. But apparenlty the War For Cybertron figures will be under the Generations line too? If that's the case, this looks like my main line for 2010, with maybe a couple from the continued movie line here and there.

I agree, a Impactor figure would be really nice considering he's a character in Last Stand of the Wreckers mini-series

I hope this is only wave one. I've already got Thrust from Henkei. So that would leave Drift and Straxus for me.

I'm pretty excited about Generations! Even though Drift looks amazing, I might see what his repaint looks like before I pick him up.

This might sound a little odd, but I'm hoping to see a Hotspot repaint from the Classics 2.0 Inferno mold. I actually skipped Inferno for that reason; hope it wasn't a mistake:/

I think the first remold we'll get of this figure will be Pyro since it's obvious that's who he was intended to be in the first place. Now IDW has highlighted his existence to casual fans and newbies this is looking more likely.

Because of the vehicle mode choice? Nah, he was conceived as Inferno with a different type of fire truck vehicle mode. Why would Hasbro even pick Pyro, an obscure character for a new mold?

You know what I hope to see? Red Alert.

Well, he'd be a pretty easy remold of Sideswipe, right? Add a police light bar and some paranoia and you've got Red Alert. Inferno needs his buddy!

And one more thing...ahem...WHERE IS SUNSTORM?!?!?!?

Sunstorm.. thats what I was thinking...instead we got a rainmaker.. which isnt bad. I have The Botcon box (which I had to pay out the craphole for, but in reality it was on a payment plan). So Im on the fence here about wether people will see Thundercracker. Also does anyone else see Straxus being retooled as Galvatron? Even for a convention? Im kinda pissed about the Sweep/scourge scenario ($500+ for 4 of the same figure? Thats scraping the barrel IMHO)

you know I took Universe Inferno (RID mold) and call him Red Alert cause that makes more sense than Inferno. especially when Im focusing on the main G1 cast for universe. Im not against you either... also Theres a TFcon Universe poster with all the different characters at war and they did Inferno (recent one) and coloured him blue...did anyone else notice this as there seems to be no other reference to this. Hint at an upcoming Hotspot? only time will tell

CP, I was talking about bringing Red Alert state-side. I wonder how he would take being stuffed in a box in a large freight ship. Hope he doesn't have Sharkticonophobia.

As TF-Con is not an official convention (as in, sponsored or otherwise licensed by Hasbro), I don't see that happening any time soon.

I think the character you're referring to is Artfire. He's a custom repaint that the artist said he wanted to include. Another Transformers web site that is a palindrome for WTF mentioned it in a news post.
