He stated that the plastic felt and looked very shotty, and that the paint apps sucked vs. Henkei version. He also went on to say that the rotating windshield to raise his head literally popped off he said. I don't remember if he said it was more than once. I would really appreciate everyone's feed back becasue I just bought him too and it's unopened until I can make a choice, thanks all!

The windshield issue happened once to me, but I think it was my own fault. I have never had this issue with my Classics Sunstreaker though.
Paint apps aren't really that different from each other IMO, I do like the red head on the Henkei version better since it's more G1 accurate, but you can easily paint or vinyl dye the generations one.
Plastic quality feels the same as my Sunstreaker and joints are very tight.

Dagon wrote:I've had no problems with Generations figures so far, and I'd say they feel more quality than the second wave of Classics Deluxes did (Prowl, Hound, OCtane...). Dont have Drift yet, hoping to fix that today though, but he looks purt sturdy. Thrusts' wings feel a little flimsy, but I think it's just the way they're made, like their shape and whatnot. Generations figures are the bomb so far, and agreed with the Darkmount ankles thing....they're not as flimsy as they looked in pictures, least wise not to me.

I thought Generations Red Alert had the G1 acurrate head? Infact I had thought of that when I was thinking back to Henkei Red and I checked on some images and saw his G1 head was black. Correct me if I'm wrong! And as far as Drift goes he's nice and solid all around. Thanks for the input so far peoples!

Depends on what type of accuracy you are looking for, both United and Generations are accurate. United is accurate to the cartoon with he read noggin, while Generations is accurate to the G1 toy with the black Sideswipe head.

Sadly both are missing a weapon. Depending on how you use the exhaust pipe gun. They are either missing a gun or shoulder missile.

With that said, I've had no issues with Generations figures.
Pretty good so far.

5 ) Overall, I haven't had the issues you describe in Generations, either. And I'm not too gentle with my figures, either - and neither is my cat. :D[/quote]

Funny I guess I got lucky with my cat, he won't touch my transformers! He never tries to get up on the shelves or anything. I guess he learned his lesson when I caught him chewing on my xbox cords.

As for the quality of Generations figures though...

I haven't had a single paint or QC issue with any of them. Maybe I'm just lucky in this regard, but I've been very happy with all I've seen. And I've bought all I've seen.

The most annoying thing is the loosen joint and the fade of the coating. Almost any toys cannot escape from being old. :-(

I just picked up Generations Blur at my local Walmart last night, and didn't notice until I had it home and opened that the sniper rifle and twin blasters were completly missing from the packaging. Has anyone else heard about this kind of problem? I don't know if I should return it to Walmart, or contact Hasbro to try and fix this.

Your best bet is to return it. Either exchange it or get your money back. Hasbro would most likely make you return the whole thing and give you something equivalent which might be a random deluxe. Best not to take your chances.

Dang, that's harsh! Yeah, return it. Tell them parts are missing. Should be fine.

I might just keep it and try and pick up another Blur later. And have one in alt mode and the other armed to the teeth. Or display one with guns and the other in running poses.

I have had 3 Generations Blurrs in hand, and all have had really crappy paint apps, specifically along the roof stripe.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

This is why I haven't bought the figure yet. I absolutely can't find a nice looking one. I am happy with Drift at this point-he doesn't look cheaply done at all, so I will pass on the repaint unless the QC gets better. Oh well.
