Shockwave was more of a weapons platform that looked like a ray gun. Have a read of the Marvel comics, he pretty much stayed the same size and just floated in the air while unleashing big ol bursts of destruction. No need to be held!

That would be fine and actually perfect. Im just thinking of the original toy which was a gun as well as the cartoon like this scene from the search for alpha trion

Shockwave requires no hug, puny human.

VERY Off topic here, but If I don't ask now, I may not get the chance to later.
What the hell is that creepy thing in your sig and avatar box?
I believe it's a Spiny from Super Mario Bros.:

As for Shockwave, I too believe he'll be a tank due to Hasbro's current reality (except for movie toys of course) and scale kick that they're on. I don't care as long as it looks good, but I've got a commission from FrenzyRumble for one of his Shockwave's in the works, so that's what I'll have on my classics shelf anyways once I get it.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

I'm covered for my larger scale Classics shelves with E Shockblast, could just do with something that scales with the Classics Seekers and Sweeps.

Alternators are a liittle over voyager sized. So being a car puts them massively out of scale with the classic deluxe vehicles. Energon Shockblast is a liittle taller in robot mode than Alternator Shocky, but because he has no real basis for his altmode the size difference works.
With that said, I feel the need to post the pic of the unreleased Shocky that was mentioned. I would have loved if they released him, but hopefully will get a new better mold in the not so distant future. In the meantime here is Titanium Shocky for your viewing pleasure.

I really enjoy his G1 alt mode. Looks cool when you shoot it in the dark and it reallly annoys people when you aim it right in they're faces and pull the trigger. He will also need squeelling sound effects.
Actually.....If they can't make him as cool as G1 than i don't want it at all.

They can make him anything they want i don't really care. But they'll be hard pressed to beat the coolness of the G1 figure and that's a fact.

I win again!
I mean i understand the fact that he was a gun and all, but lets look at history
Soundwave- No longer a cassette player
Megatron- No longer a gun
Perceptor- No longer a microscope
Shockwave- Probably wont be a gun
Ill also say the robot mode for the DOTM one was personally pretty sweet. Alt-mode was just a stupid rearrangin of partsinto something vaguely tanklike but whatever haha

Remember how Classics Megatron was based on a Nerf Marvrick?

Well good news, Nerf just released a new gun that looks decently Shockwave-esq.

Hopefully Hasbro notices the similarities and puts out shockwave. Well i don't see why Shockwave can't be a purple gun when Nerf has produced many blue guns.

Back to the classics version, Id hope for something other than a tank. How about a ground mounted cannon? Ya know what I mean? A big ol cannon on a tri pod type deal.
They may be able to get that done while keeping to scale and then you will have a manned ground mounted cyber cannon to display and not just a pistol lying on a shelf.

So he will be from the game? Is this official? If so, Id say we are in good shape.
I havnt seen the game shocker, but I have cyber O.P.,megs, B.B., cliff jumper and soundwave. All are excelend reinditions paying very close homage to the originals. I cant see them dropping the ball with shocker when they did so well with all of the other cyber versions.
As far as his alt mode, Im a bit sick of the tank but like you I am looking for an awesome bot mode. The alt mode is not so important for me with this figure.

This hasn't been made official yet but a reliable source mentioned this rumor earlier in this thread. I trust the source.

Those figures were great as characters from the game. They looked just like the game. As Classics figures, not so much. Soundwave is great on the Classics shelf. Prime and Bumblebee just don't work for me. If Shockwave's bot mode looks as as good as Soundwave, I will buy it and be very happy.

I still think they all look alot like their classic counterparts though and if shocker is done likewise we will be happy.
