I'm kinda an old school newb when it comes to TFs and I guess we could just hit google or the tfwiki (and I love reading the tfwiki), but what fun is that. I was kinda under the impression that the Autobot plane guys were once seekers or aligned with them, especially Jetfire.

Yeah in G2 all six were Cons at one time and Jetfire Strafe Airraid turned there backs on megatron and became autobots , i don't think they were part of the seekers , as far as i understand they were a cyberjet group .

In G1 animation Jetfire and starscream were old friends who went exploring .

It's hard to imagine Starscream having a friend, but the RID comic explored that idea. Starscream is a twisted interesting character and one of my favs.

I only know there history through the G1 episodes but that's when i found starscream to be a more interesting villain . The fact he went from a peaceful cybertronian explorer to a jealous bitter and twisted power hungry decepticon due to the effects of the war .

I'd highly recommend the two current comic series. Robots in Disquise (I think they changed it to just Transformers or something) and More Than Meets the Eye, very different series and put some interesting spins on classic characters. MTMTE is my personal favorite, very Star Trek and more light hearted than RID. I'm at least 5 or more issue behind on both though. Video games tend to take up my free time.

I bought issue 1 of RID and MTMTE but never went any further with RID . MTMTE i found much more appealing . i have the TPB to volume 8 of MTMTE not sure how far behind that is ?

I will eventually read RID . Does combiner wars have an on-going series ?

Yes and no, but not really. It's spread/shoe horned into the RID and Windblade series.

I use comixology for my TF comic needs and if you search for combiner wars you'll find what you're looking for.

Since this is the season of giving and we are always giving round here ..

It's not perfect but good enough . Expect to groove alot more . I was surprised at how big his alt is .
