Site sponsor BigBadToyStore has placed up a preorder for Gentei (Exclusive Henkei) Strafe which will be a repaint of Universe Cyclonus.

Also in the description is how one can expect to get this figure through normal means:
"One needs to apply for the Transformers credit card sponsored by the Ganbo store, and then use the card itself to order the Strafe figures."

Noice! Got my preorder in!! Can't wait to see how he looks. This is quickly becoming one of my more favorite molds in the line...or ever.

Yeah, that's about 40 bucks pricier than what I was hoping for. Still that didn't stop me from putting in a preorder. Damn my love for the Cyclonus mold.

But I'm pretty sure you can flip that toy for waaay more though...if you're all about the money that is.

The older I get, the more I try to define my collection and lately, I'm trying to get as many nice exclusives as I can, while I can. So no matter what his cost, I'm jumpin in. But the good news is that there are only so many exclusives a year so it's not too terrible.

I got my preorder in as well.

If I don't like the colors (that should be shown later this week) then perhaps I will cancel it. But the price isn't that bad considering the process that must be done to order the figure.

I love that mold.
I love Strafe.
This was a no-brainer for me, I'd kick myself forever if I didn't get it. Preordered.

I find myself buying more and more exclusives over the past couple years, and losing interest in the mainline toys. I buy the ones I like, but I ignore the others.

Don't know about the Autobot part, however with BBTS, you don't have to pay for the credit card, that is for only those who want to get it from the source instead of a reseller.

a little of topic, but I just wanted to know what the difference between henkei and gentei is (i.e. what do they mean and are they considered different toylines in japan) this is purely for my own curiousity.

Prowl1529, You cut out the first sentence. You don't have to apply for the credit card if you order from BBTS.

He's an Autobot trust me.

Let me clear things up a bit: the Autobot/Decepticon thing only applies to the type of credit card you choose and the Mini-Con you receive (Sling for Autobot, Vorter for Decepticon). The card also gives you access to the online toy store where Strafe can be bought. "Gentei" is the name of the concept, but it's not really linked to Henkei per se. Consider it Takara's answer to Hasbro's Transformers Collector's Club

When I placed my order at 4:00 there were still around 500 preorders left.

Using the "put 1000 units in the shopping cart and update method" BBTS only have 178 left. These are going fast!

Autorant: If you want to make money, buy stock. Toys area really not a very sound investment strategy. The market for them is very small, and the cache of people willing to mortgage their house for one is still smaller

When the economy goes down, as it is now, that market is going to crack that much further as a result. Hard to justify to your wife why you're sending the kids to public school so that you can afford that Botcon seeker you've had your eye on

Preordered him. I'm really enjoying how Hasbro and Takara are taking the ball and running with it on relatively minor characters. Its really very spiffy...I just hope his targetmaster has some colors Other than yellow
