Getting to See Bumblebee and Sideswipe in Person

So for the past two weeks the International Auto Show was in my area up in the magnificent city of Cleveland. I got to go recently and I pretty much go there to see the Chevys and other GM cars. This year I was expecting some cool stuff...but I got a pleasant surprise at the Chevy display: the Bumblebee Camaro concept from Revenge of the Fallen and the Corvette Stingray Centennial concept! The Bumblebee Camaro was an actual car used in filming Revenge of the Fallen. It had a few scuff marks and scratches here and there, so one could tell it was used pretty well. It's a pretty sharp car in person, I must say, and I wish I could get a Camaro like it. The Corvette was definitely a head turner, too. I'm not sure whether it was just a concept or an actual Transformers film prop vehicle, but the description board by the car mentioned its role as Sideswipe in the film. I'm sorry I don't have photos, but I just had to share this.

If any of you are expecting the Auto Show to come to your area, maybe you should look into it.

(EDIT: My father took photos, so I'll ask him if I can see his camera and I'll try to put any interesting photos I find on here.)

Considering how much you love the films I'm actually upset that you didn't come away with some photos to keep. Maybe next year you'll see the Wreckers or something at the show.

Very cool my friend. I was able to see the Corvette Stingray at the Mocone Car show in San Fransico last year. That car is jaw dropping in person. They hand mentioned on the flyer before hand that Bumble Bee would not be at the show due to damage. Oh well. Considering the camaro has been in production for a couple years now, I think the stingray was the better show stopper anyhow.

I didn't have a camera, but my father did. I'll check and see if he got some shots of them since he was pretty glued to those two cars. If there are some good ones I'll try to get them on the computer and on here.

Did he see anything else at the Auto Show? If I saw that Corvette in person, you'd have to knock me out to get me away from it....

Hey, Dagon! Haven't seen you post in a while.
And what do you mean by "did he see anything else"? Do you mean did I see anything else TF related? Well, those two cars were really the only two TF things, although Ford had an actual functioning robot named "Hank". I was afraid he would've been taken out by the Chevy bots, but he survived. They didn't have too many concepts this year unfortunately. Although I checked out the 2012 Chevy Sonic, which has a strong resemblance to the Chevy Spark; the car used as the Twins in DOTM. The drop-top Camaro was on display too.
Nothing DOTM related sadly. Maybe next year...

Hey there buddy, how've you been?

I meant did you guys even bother looking at other cars at the Auto Show. Had I been in the same place as BB and Sideswipe's models, I wouldn't have been able to take my eyes off of them, because they are awesome.

I've been doing well. I think I've only been caught saying something stupid once or twice since you've been away. Thanks for the slap in the face in that stupid boycotting thing I did or wherever it was.
And I did take a very good look at many of the different cars, but mostly the American cars and Hyundai/Kia. The new Chevy Volt was showcased, in a similar color to the new DOTM Jolt figure. The Corvette ZR1 was on display; a real head-turner. The Cadillac CTS-V sedan, coupe, and wagon were all available to be checked out by the public also. Buick brought back the pre-production Regal GS...the first hot rod Buick will have released in decades. Chrysler had their revamped line, the new Charger and stuff. Ford didn't have much going on though. Kind of disappointing for them. I personally thought GM stole the show again.
