When you make less an hour than the cost of one figure and some bozo is willing not only to pay that but slip you $XX. to hide some for him, why not. Hide a couple figs, get extra to buy that bucket at KFC rather than just a meal.

As for the cobra island sets, I'm miffed that BBTS is only selling the Defense pack now in multi packs when they clearly have plenty, but oh well, I'll buy the 2-pack and just dump the joes into mod and part fodder.

that said, I picked up a second Ice viper the other day, So I might start working on the Rave-Viper this week-end.

I turned my other ice viper into a s.w.a.t. viper looks really cool.

Haven't got around to taking them but I will. It was a really simple figure to do I took the vest from the nitro viper or whatever driver of the cobra hummer is and swapped the ski jacket the ice viper comes with for that and that was about it. It was my first custom so I didn't want to go to fancy or anything.

The first stuff I was posting isn't that far removed in complexity. I'll have some more pics of my stuff once I try the first attempt with the Rave-Viper, but if you look at some of the pics i've posted before a lot is head or part swaps.

I wonder if anyone on here got the attack and defense of cobra island seven packs and if so can they tell me what figure to get excited about. Well I was just over at hiss tank and there is some great news for troop building collectors it looks like that long awaited viper 5 pack is coming plus a b.a.t. five pack as well.

I found Hit And Run, and Sgt. Altitude (Ripcord) to be my favorites on the Joe side, and from the Cobras, I love the Alley Viper and Range Viper!

Thanks tigertracks 24 since I know nothing about either the cobra lampray or the night creeper. I know who the strato-viper is. I will be paying close attention to the alley viper and range viper which are two of my favorite vipers to begin with and dr. mindbender is iceing on the cake sort speak. On the joe side the only figure I knew out of that group was recondo everyone else is total new two me so I will take your advice on the two from that set. I can't wait to get them they should arrive next week if everything goes smoothly. I don't know that I will open them right away since I'm also getting marvel ultimate alliance 2 for x-box 360 as well and think that is going to take alot of my time.

Yeah, it's either Sergeant or Major Altitude, but it is most definitely vintage Ripcord (HALO jumper). I forgot the Lamprey, but he is one of my more favorite figs from the vintage times, and this one does not disappoint. I'm looking forward to getting a red and black one (or two) with the 'Manta'.

No idea yet, the only information is that an auction was posted for the 2 5-packs. Beyond that we have no clue if and/or when we'll see them. They could just be packaged samples that were mocked up, but I hope not. From the picture they look basically the same with the squad leader getting a gold and one with a regular head that is rumoured to be Mercer.

O.k. so I order the attack a defense of cobra island sets and I know most of figures in the sets but I'm confused as to who some of them are I hope someone on here can tell who these are:
on the joe side:

1. Outback

2. Hit & Run

On the cobra side:

1. Lamprey

2. Night creeper

Also chuckdawg was right there was a vehicle from the valor vs venom line called at night adder.

Why do I get the feeling that once I get the attack of Cobra Island set and if I can get that Viper 5 pack that three of the joes are just going to get headswapped onto Vipers? I looking at you Chuckles, Outback and Recondo.

Thanks editor I'm not sold on outback , hit & run or the night creeper, but the lamprey looks cool I like the under water troops. That why I'm glad they included wetsuit I just wish they had include leatherneck as well but I guess you can't have everything.

Outback is just one of those characters that people either like and decent fans of, or they just don't care. I don't care about him, and thus why he'll end up as a trooper, and his body and gear parts for mod.

Hit and Run, I actually think looks nifty, and for that alone he may be spared from modding beyond getting a cobra sigil.

The Night Creeper is one of the weaker parts for that set and thou I'll display him, he may fall to mod fodder.

Leatherneck is a great character, and honestly one I would have a hard time adapting into my army, and for that alone, I'm actually kind of glad he isn't in the set. But I bet the set would be selling better had he been included.

The reason I have to agree with on that is because can't have wetsuit without leatherneck much like Alpine and Bazooka the relationship or competition between leatherneck and wetsuit always made the show a little better at least for me. I would always tune in hoping to see either an Alpine and Bazooka episode or a leatherneck and wetsuit episode, part of me thinks I should look for a vintage leatherneck to go with my wetsuit figure. Also for anyone doubting that nano viper is something worth picking up yeah it is a repaint of commando viper but it is how they repainted it that makes it something special they did a green wash over the original grey uniform so it looks like he has been experimented on by the doctor which is what happened according to his file card.

My only 2 issues with the nano-viper is:
1) I don't care for the Green, than said I thought the same of the Crimson Neo-viper and I bought one of those, but it was modified shortly after I opened the pack to get rid of
2) I really don't care for the vests on the movie Vipers and even thou I have opened a few up, I haven't kept a vest on a single one.

A question about the range viper is the figures helmet removable.

Leatherneck was with the ATV vehicle that was released last year. He had the head of Gun Ho with I think Duke's body.

I have to say two of my favorite vipers are the ally viper and range viper. So I was wondering out of all the different kinds of viper there have been over the years which ones are you favorites and would you buy them if they were redone 25th anniversary style or roc style.

The regular-ass Default Vipers, as they're the most plausible!

I don't want to sound like I'm art-whoring, but I thought this was cool and Joe-related: HissTank.com put a post about my comic on their front page!

Oh yeah, my buddy won a 25th Zap for my off the ePay, so when I get it, my Original 13 will at long last be complete. I've been trying to get a complete O13 set by mixing 3 Joe lines since 2006 [when I got back into Joes], but I aborted that project when the 25ths started coming out.
