Being a member of The Cardinal Nation and still carrying issues with Boston, any team that can beat them out of the World Series is okay with me! Rays might have issues with the Phillies, but I am still pulling for them!

I don't really like baseball, but its kind of cool for an obscure "newer" team like the Rays to go to the World Series.

Well look at this way

I have been here in the Tampa area since 2001

I NEVER knew any Devil Rays fans till this year

I'm not saying everybody is but there are alot of fly by night Rays fan s here

Tampa is a Buccaneer town and most I bet never watched a Rays game till they won the AL East

It reminds me of 1986 when all of a sudden there was this huge abundence of Mets fans all of a sudden

Not 100% sure why they did but I think it was an image thing.

As for the "bandwagon" Rays fan. I guess you could call me that. I have been following them for the last few years although not nearly as much as this year. My first love is the Bucs and football. That said I do still follow all of Tampa's teams. The Lightning, Rays and even the USF Bulls.

The Rays have just been too exciting not to follow in the Bay area. I personally don't mind bandwagoners... is that a word. It's when the jump off at the first sign of trouble that bothers me.

Looking forward to Wednesday night. I think it will be a good series. Not as good as the ACLS, IMO, but that is mainly because of this past years history with Boston.

I'm right outside philly. You guys don't unerstand how much this means to us. I didn't even give a crap about baseball until this season. We han't had a championship in any sport, (arena football not counting) since god knows when, and for a while our only hope was the eagles. If the phillies go all the way, this could start a trend in ending our slump.

I can refer to Cardinal fans as "The Cardinal Nation" because that is PRECISELY what they are! There are Redbird fans all over the place, not just in the Midwest...So, yes, we ARE INDEED The Cardinal Nation!

And you don't know what this means to us. Until this year the Rays have been a crap team their entire existence, there was serious talk about them leaving Tampa and now they might be regarded as the best in baseball.

Just wanted to say that I am impressed with the Rays this season. I hope they can continue to knock down the powers in the AL for years to come.

On the flip side though I do live just outside Philly and I do hope the Phils win the series. All I have to say is at least we aren't playing the Red Sox. Good luck in the series Ray fans, and enjoy the ride. You don't know when it will come again.

TB is a good team, and in a lot of ways reminds me of the worst-to-first 93 Phillies (talent-wise if not personality or fan support-wise)

The thing is, Phildaelphia has now gone a total of 100 SEASONS (amongst the 4 major sports) without a title while the pathetic Tampa fanbase now has 2 (Bucs and Lightning)this decade alone.

A few loud hollering Seibertron members isn't going to convince me that people down there support their teams (even when they are winning)

That all being said, good luck to both teams and may the better team win. There's still a lot of sereis to go.
