I remember a while back there was a thread about the little grey dot stickers that Target puts on the price/place markers in the toy department. I did a forum search, but nothing came up.
Someone said the dots mean the employees don't need to order more of that product. And if we remove the dots, that product will get scanned and more will be ordered...therefore making it easier to find short-packed figures.
Someone else on another forum said the opposite: the grey dots mean they do need to order more.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Any current or former Target employees?
On a similar note, I spoke to an employee in the action figure aisle about a week ago. They have had the same six figures on the shelf for months, with nothing new. I asked when they may be getting more, and he said that when those on the shelf move, the computer will order more. And not until then, even if there are new assortments available. Is this true?!
So if Wave A is stocked and doesn't sell, yet Waves B and C are currently shipping....can this kill a line? Or cause them to stop carrying them? What gives?

Grey stickers mean they're out of stock and need to order more. I found this out while searching for RPM Megazords. Had to buy the last two online to make the RPM Ultrazord.
As for the not ordering until they need to thing, I guess it makes sense from a business point.

I work at target so yes the team leads put these grey dots on product when it sells down to either very little, or none left. Then the instock team makes sure more product is ordered.
