ahhh that was a quick one matey, but what i do is look at light sources and more and just work on it from there. or read the comics and try and copy the colourists style you pick up these things fast

What confuses me is getting down base color. I usually go cheap and pixelize the lines. #-o

But if I try normally, I make lines appear overlapped with color.
(Translation: got tips?)

At the moment i havent got a clue as to what program you are using to colour any of the pieces if i know i maybe able to give some tips. I use Adobe cs mostly for any colours

I use GIMP.
But it's a near carbon copy of PS, so just tell me in PS terms and I got it.

The rules for starting a good coloured piece

1: do not i repeat do not open the a saved copy instead right click the image from the internet and select copy image.
2: click open new (normally this picks up the size of the image in clipboard useful little tip to know)
3: go into mask mode then paste the image
4: go out of mask mode and then invert the image
5: open new image same size and then add a max od three layers you could use more if you wish i prefer a max of three.
6: go to layer 2 and paste
7. use layer 1 for colours use full opacity and layer 3 for glow effects i use the opacity at around 25 to 30 never more.
8. Play about and enjoy

I'm guessing you're talking about Paint Shop Pro or some other simular program. You know of any place on the internet I could download such a program? I don't have it installed on this computer and I can't remember what I did with my install disks.
