It is definitely cheaper this way. Basically, once a mold is made, there is little additional cost (just maintenance and mold repair, maybe some storage costs.) If the cost of the mold can be spread out across 6 (or 7) figures, then the cost per is much cheaper with only the plastics changing. Now, they did do the missiles, but I wonder if that was a separate mold because they didn't include them with the conehead figures.

All that said, I might have been willing to pay $50 if this set included the conehead modified weapons. However, the $40 price-point was very good, in my opinion, and I'm not sure how much better this would have sold at $50.

Honestly, it depends on if you want G1 toy or show accurate.

Dr. Wu's are toy accurate(albeit modernized), but the Coneheads had the standard nullrays in the toon, making the Guilty set accurate for that.

I have the Guilty set in hand - I'm superbly pleased with it.

We're talking CHUG Seekers here. They are certainly an adequate mold, but by no means spectacular. Given that, and the fact that they are not entirely intricate, the simpler Guilty null rays are more than serviceable to me. So long as they are Classics-ish, and replace the horrid spring blasters the toys come with, it's all thumbs up from my end.

I have the Dr Wu sets and Im still getting these so nothing goes to waste. Guilty for my Takara seekers to make them cartoon accurate. I have the Hasbro Starscream and Thundercracker as well, so those extra Wu sets didn't go to waste. Besides they match the Hasbro plastic colors better. I gave the Dr. Wu Skywarp set to CHMS Black Death Starscream. And the Hasbro versions of the coneheads have the Dr. Wu toy accurate look while my Takara Coneheads will sport the cartoon look. And Acid Storm makes a nice bonus. Everything works out, nothing goes to waste. I wish they would make sets for the CHMS and Botcon Rainmakers too.

Did these disappear from BBTS? Was holding off and decided to take another look but can't find them now.

BBTS pulled the listing since it was found out that all these guys do is hijack existing Shapeways project designs and sell them without crediting or reimbursing the original designer.

Glad i got mine. These are truly awesome. I dont give a crap about shapeways cause i have no interest in sanding or painting small parts. These guys brought something to the table that would have just remained unknown to most.

Its funny, but no one has done a truly cartoon accurate null ray to me. Something about the proportions on the Guilty set seem off, they start above the shoulder and end way too far past the hand...just too long. Dr. Wu's have too much color and odd details to be screen accurate.

The Guilty ones look good on the coneheads though since they looked like they had longer null rays on the show.
