Now this is the Jetwing Prime Takara should have made. Maybe with some paints apps on the Jetwing part.

it didn't come out that pronounced in the shots, but the wings of the jetpack are painted entirely silver... the jets & main guns are molded gun-metal plastic.. the turbine fans in the jets have red-orange & silver paint apps... the optimus that comes with jetwing, tho, has nearly no silver paint.. lots of grey plastic...

It looks like parts of the feet were painted silver to protect the chrome from scrapping.

most of buster's feet are painted silver... my one complaint about him is that the chromed front grill becomes the bottom of the feet... definitely a little paranoid about chrome wear, there... but for the most part he stays in a glass case.... i've thought about placing some squares of fabric under his feet for safety...
jetwing comes with a couple extra heel parts that seem like they're intended to give him some extra stability with the back-heavy jetpack, but they don't clip on very tightly & are almost completely ineffective...

the jetpack is "compatible", but only barely... on the backpack, there's a little clip that goes under optimus's rear end, which has a nice secure place to click in on the optimus that jetwing comes with, but on buster (& i presume the original 2009 leader class optimus), that spot is rounded & the clip slips off pretty easily. i had to pop it back on multiple times for each pose i shot...
i don't think it would take more than a little neat dremelling to carve out a secure notch for that clip... but considering its buster, only the brave of heart should endeavor there
